Cass and Solas are my two favourite companions from what we've seen so far, and knowing that despite their differences they will be respectful and have great banter just makes me so happy.

I think I'll be using Solas, Cole and Blackwall a lot if Solas is my LI. I always save a spot for my LI in the party. Cole and Blackwall appeal to me a lot and seem to get along with Solas well, so it seems like a good fit.

I know. The Iron Bull is the Warrior follower I'm most interested in. The Qun is a fascinating religion, and I want to hear all about it.

 

But, uh, so are Nevarran religious beliefs. I wanna hear about those, too.

And Orlesian politics.

 

And the Fade.

 

And what's up with Red Jenny?

 

And just flipping Cole.

 

I'm going to be swapping people in and out all through my first run. (My LI will Cullen, so no need to worry about party composition!)

My first run LI will be Dorian. I would have a hard time choosing between Dorian and Solas for the first run, if Solas is available, but the PC I want to romance Dorian with is the one I think first run mistakes make more sense with. I expect the one for Solas to be less stupid, so I want to know what I'm doing first. lol

You never know which companion will surprise you. That's what happened with Sten and Fenris, I didn't think I would like them. More the fool am I.

Yes I will go with what feels right when I play the game. I have some preferences but it's really difficult to choose who to bring with you because every companion sounds so interesting and amazing ç_ç 

I loved Alistair, and understimated Zevran until discovered how great he and his romance was

Greetings Solas thread! I love the idea of Solas being able to enter other people's dreams! I really hope he has this ability in the game, it's just such a clever concept.  Question though, how is this not your official Solas romance song

I would find that to be an interesting and unique twist if Solas could enter the dreams of others. That could possibly lead to a very embarrassing moment for my quizzy.

Friday seems like a good day for LI info, aaaaand go! All I can say is thank goodness for Mass Effect... Doing my first play through and I think Kaidan is distracting me enough to keep me sane.

I've been thinking about what D&D alignment the companions/advisors would be.

 

Varric: Chaotic Good

Sera: Chaotic Neutral

Solas: Neutral Good

Cassandra: Lawful Neutral

Cole: Chaotic Good

Vivienne: Neutral Evil

Dorian: Chaotic Good

Blackwall: Neutral Good

Iron Bull: True Neutral

Cullen: Lawful Good

Leliana: Lawful Neutral (the gameplay video made this more apparent)

Josephine: Neutral Good

 

Hmm, I'm not 100% on all of these. Seems like there is too few "evil" alignments. Any input?

I think they'll probably just do the "which rogue" thing today to even out those questions they've been asking. They did mage and warrior, right? So, it's probably just rogue.

 

It's really starting to depress me seeing people guess "Vivienne - bi/Varric - straight" for the last two slots. I want Solas, but even if it's not, the last male slot straight? Like, seriously? Being in the demographic that's gotten the least LIs over all Bioware's games and being the only demographic to be down an LI again would just.. ugh. How better could you possibly telegraph, "YOU ARE OUR LOWEST PRIORITY".

 

But I'm trying to stay optimistic that Bioware wouldn't do that. Especially since Iron Bull was originally planned gated, so some races for gay men would only get one option. It doesn't mesh with what the devs have been saying about how they feel about representation at all, so I mostly don't think it will happen, but seeing it repeatedly suggested and not knowing is upsetting. I just hope they tell us soon.

I would much rather have Solas as an LI than Varric. He had his chance in the last game.

Okay, so, not exactly Solas related but possibly related to his LI status in that it's possibly related another character's LI status and I'm babbling here's a link.

 

I was just googling for that one post where DG talks about Varric as an LI--about how if he knew how popular Varric would have been they might have written some things differently--and I just stumbled across this.

I'm really curious about Varric and Bianca's relationship. It obviously has had an lasting effect on him, and I want to know more about it. I don't know how a possibly romance plot with the Inquisitor could work with that.

 

On another note, should I put this in the Romances thread? I mean, it's information if old information. But a year in game development time isn't so long.
