! Damn you Bioware and your asterisks of doom! I've not heard that convo. D: Not surprising since I never take Sera.

Pose is referenced from another piece of DA concept art and the robes are those sexy Keeper Robes found in game :3

If Sera is Andruil's vessel, and someone plays the next game with a world state in which she isn't recruited... what happens? We get to fight her at full health instead of half?

LOL

Going off of Liz's interpretation of Tyrdda Bright-Axe...

Andraste is born in Alamarri lands, is enslaved, escapes at a young age, and returns to Ferelden to marry Maferath, an Avvar chieftain.

Looks like Mythal reclaiming her old chosen people as a weapon aimed at the usurpers of Elvenhan.

Why are there busty Qunari babes carved into the rock in the Hissing Wastes?

Spoiler

And ugh, where is this tomb?! I've been through the whole area before and cleared out the mountain fortress, but I can't find the tomb entrance.

They look more like the Desire Demons to me.

<snip>

I think the colouring is great. :)

Although, Fen'Harel in Keeper robes... The irony is impressive.

Speaking of armour - I made a tier 3 silverate armour for Solas, enchanted it to oblivious, put it on him expecting him to shine with Abelas-isc glory... And I got Solas in a shirt more under-dress than his Skyhold outfit. And we all know how under-dress that is.

What is the armour appearance logic in this game?

He needs to look like a hobo (even a glorious one) so when he says to Dorian "I can't hear you over your outfit!" It's not completely ironic. x)

I hope I used ironic correctly there.

Also, just tried out making Cole more spirit and... I'm so conflicted! He is much happier, but he's more alien now than before! And Varric was so sad. And his forgiving the templar and letting him forget was touching! But, but, but, gaaaaaaah!

Yeah...solas is like that 50 year old hippie that works at the natural food store and just grab bagged the most retro looking clothing out of a goodwill bag because ' gosh darn-nit if those clothes looked good then they will look good now'.

In fanfic or in canon?

In fanfic, sure. It'd be interesting. And weird. Like an AU where Morrigan died and as a last gift/curse, Baldie handed off his oldest friend to his newest one for safekeeping. It'd be a very interesting dynamic to explore through writing.

In canon, no. Flemeth intends that godhood to be passed on to her heir, Morrigan. And I'd want the Spirit of Mythal to continue to have a role, rather been subject to the dangers of a PC that can only be mentioned but never shown for long in later works.

I think some people just have a natural reaction one way or another. For me it's the opposite, my current character made him more human and it just felt viscerally wrong, and I didn't like the scene as much. Fortunately Cole is happy either way. Varric doesn't need to be sad- he's just wrong. Cole IS a person, even on the spirit side. One reason I don't like the human side is that Varric doesn't know what he's talking about, lol. Since I play mages, I tend to trust Solas' advice more, and trust the idea of a spirit remaining a spirit more. Maybe if I played warriors or rogues I'd feel differently.

As for the question earlier about who's sadder, Solas or Lavellan: Solas, but it's a close thing. My Lavellan, at least, feels bereft of the one person who she felt understood her.

It should be in your internet history.  But was it this one?  Pfft, I really should get better at saving the fluff, I'm fairly sure I know which one you speak of.
Remember what site it was from?

Oye, I should have thought of that. I'll go check my history on my laptop and post the link in a minute :)

I would probably do it, nothing like a good old god absorbing for some power. Although in saying that I did make myself her slave...

What could possibly go wrong?

Eh .. I generally prefer to play archer rogues but I feel the same as you do.  Cole is happy either way, he's easier to understand if you make him more human but he finds it easier to help people (which is his purpose after all) if he's more of a spirit.

And Varric IS wrong.  Cole didn't come across the Veil to be a person, he came across the Veil to help someone.  He couldn't help and that's where things got messed up.

On another topic:  Why does Solas ask you what you're going to do with the power of the Well if Morrigan is the one who drinks?  The Inquisitor isn't going to do anything with that power, they don't have it.  Morrigan has it and presumably she'll go off and do Morrigan-y things with it.  So the question puzzles me.

I think that's it for me. My Inquisitor's a Rogue, magic isn't scary to her since she's an elf but it is alien, and she doesn't like the idea of Cole becoming too hard for her to understand. She'd be worried she'd stop caring about him. If she was a Mage... maybe it would be different.

It'll be worth doing a Mage playthrough to see how my perspective changes. :)

It could be a glitch, but I think the power conversation also works for the Inquisition.

I mean, it's an organization with heavy-hitting influence in the court of the Orlesian Empire, has possibly secured alliances with Archon Radonis of the Imperium as well as the Qun, has good relations with the royal family of Ferelden, merchant ties to Antiva and the Crows, its leader hails from the Free Marches, they've crisis-solved in all of the South, the Chantry stands only because the Inquisition saved them all, they have enough political clout to choose their own Divine...

As powerful as the Well's knowledge may be, every Inquisitor wields a terrifying amount of power, even without taking into account the possible uses of the Anchor.

The combination of this political power as well as the magical power represented by the Well probably played a role in the corruption of the Creators that Solas witnessed firsthand.

Lol that's funny, I honestly thought it was Solas who didn't know what he was talking about in this instance because he didn't get Cole was more than a spirit.

edit:

And lets be honest, Solas doesn't get people.

I don't know.  I suppose it would depend.  I wouldn't want a bunch of Mythal thoughts in my head. If you drink from the Well it's bad enough you have a bunch of dead elves having a tea party in your noggin.  I don't think I would want the thoughts of their goddess in their as well.

If it's just the essence of her godhood with no personality attached?  Eh, maybe but it's still a tough call.

Question. When you use your rift hand thingy to kill demons and people and suck their essence into the fade... you're obviously opening a rift... to the fade right? Sooo....

When we're physically in the fade and using this... where the hell does it go? Other parts of the fade?
