Aww but he does look pretty
That snarl

I would not mess with that...
Solas at his most godlike? [wrathful god I mean...]
The hero turning into the villain...
This is probably why the most heartbreaking thing Solas can potentially do in the DLC is manipulate whoever drank from the well. That would be the point Solas becomes what he hates.
InB4 Batman quote.
Solas has lived very long indeed.

Yeah trying not to think about that possibility. Trying real hard.

I'd be all over that. So long as that wrath remains directed at my enemies, of course.

Hahaha, I was thinking of the Dark Knight when I wrote that

How badass would it be though if we broke the control? How often does someone who drinks from the well also have the key of their god's foci?

Sadly, I could actually see Bioware implementing that idea, as much as I don't want it to happen. ![]()

...that would be badass wouldn't it? BUT NO.

I think there's only one way for him not to turn into a bad guy, and that's if you romanced him.
Your optimism is admirable. lol

Reminds me of a quote from Vivienne when she and Iron Bull are talking about the Qun and mages being leashed. I believe she says something like, "Leashes can be pulled from either end, darling."
But if he tried that on an Inquisitor who drank from the well, I'd like the option to punch him in the stomach. =p
Although that does call into question. What happens with an Inquisitor who drinks from the well? Does the "control" transfer to Solas who took Mythal's power? Or to Morrigan who, presumably, received Mythal's divine essence? And I say that because apparently if you wander around Val Royeux you can come across someone who mentions dreaming about a woman who claims to be Mythal. I tend not to wander around Val Royeux after the end of the game because I've done everything so not much point and so I have not actually encountered this myself.
I don't see that happening because of the potentially screwed up implications of controlling a romanced lavellan. The outcry would be bad. I personally find the idea sort of gross myself. Story wise I think if solas went that bad it would be sort of ignoring the subtlety written into his character and it'd be corypheus all over again. The hero turning into the villain...

I wondered the same thing.
Maybe Morrigan gets visitation rights? Lol.
I'm not worried because I romanced him.
Not to be that guy but that didn't go too well for people who romanced Anders. ![]()
But who knows.
Things got awesome in the Solas Chat today. So I made you all a Wolf Hunt DLC GIF.
Thanks to everyone who participated and cheered me on through to the morning light! HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU JADE AND RABBIT.
You can find it on my tumblr!
Also guys, totally want to know what your Lavellan's personal rant to him in this GIF would be. I NEED TO KNOW.
Like like like like 1000xlikes!!!!!! Someone send this to Bioware!!!
Please try http://virdirthan.wi...rdized Timeline again, I changed the permissions but I am not sure if it works now.
Oh, and wouldn't the artist in this thread just loooove to make some pretty background pic for the site? ![]()

Honestly I see Solas as more of a wildcard ... like Flemeth. You're never really sure if they're a villain or not and they seem to be manipulating world events to their own ends - whatever those ends might be. We just happen to be more personally involved with this particular wildcard because he was a companion and possible romantic interest.

Worked for me, thanks!!

Who says he has to be happy about it. Maybe he goes X-men style and gives you the command to walk away, and keep walking so he can continue doing what he's doing.
Like sacrifice.
And then when he finishes it, and he's gone, his control leaves and only then can she see what he did.
I think there's only one way for him not to turn into a mostly bad guy, and that's if you romanced him.
I think that would actually be the meaning of his romance card, the hierophant.
I mean, look at it, this is a balanced, happy quasi-divine being.

From Wikipedia.
Summary of Meanings:
When the card is upright: A person or situation involving conservatism, conformity, and honoring traditional values. This could be someone who's a teacher, instructor, religious leader, prophet, or a group or community leader of some kind.
The Hierophant can also be someone who's a "go between" or intermediary of some kind, who's able to interact with and channel use of powerful and unseen forces, unavailable or inaccessible to the masses. He does so for the benefit of the community he serves. This can be someone who has access to, or influence and power within a number of different domains.
And that damned wolf is so fluffy it's become a sheep!

Bahahaha ... talk about a dysfunctional family! Solas gets you during the week and Morrigan on weekends? Poor Inquisitor!
Actually we don't know what really happens to a romanced Anders. On the rival path he seems to go kind of bat**** but on the friend path he's not too bad. My usual play was a friendly, romanced Anders where he lives and I support the mages. He's not out of the woods by a long shot but at the end Varric seems to think he'll follow Hawke to Weisshaupt.
