Nothing, there's always some conflict with her. If you had a good relationship with her, then it's quelled rather quickly through negotiations.

And yea I forgot you mentioned that, lol. Blackwall really takes his roleplaying seriously, lol. Sigh, you big knucklehead.

Slightly off-topic but I know you make Cassandra the Divine as you believe she'll do the best job.  When I made a softened Leliana the Divine and talked to Cassandra afterward, Cass said that Leliana was exactly what the Chantry needed.  I found that interesting.  Or Cass is just really relieved she isn't the Divine herself.  =p

Some of them are definitely a bit eerie. Of course, it helps that a lot of the time they are in creepy ruins.

Falon'din and Dirthamen are the worst with their black eyes. Sylaise is alright I suppose, she looks like she's getting married

If you match it up with the different mosaics, it's the same as Mythal's.

Very alien looking. :alien:

Really cool and creepy, haha.  It also implies more of that otherworldly eeriness, which might be fitting since the ancient elves could travel between worlds, and might not even be native to Thedas at all.  (All the Lovecraftian hints, hm.) But I'm still leaning towards them being some sort of manifested spirits originally, with a half spirit/half physical nature similar to Cole.

And *only* Fen'Harel's mosaic never shows an elf.  I mean, it's not like we would have made the connection between Solas and Fen'Harel just from the mosaic because the mosaic doesn't have specific enough features.  So I wonder why his is the only one that shows just the wolf and not an elf.

If you mean why the Sentinels aren't all mages, Merrill mentions that the ancient elves lost their immortality along with some of the mages losing their magic; presumably, they would have had to adapt.

Mages don't have to use magic in fighting. The fact that they're alive means they have magic.

Oh alright then. That makes me feel a wee bit better.

I noticed that the epilogue says that the scar in the sky is a reminder that the world has forever changed. Sounds to me like that plunge into the abyss Flemeth keeps talking about. The Breach would definitely be a permanent weak spot in the Veil.

Oh, my approval probably wasn't high enough with her since I didn't get that. I was kind of rushing. I only do everything on Lavellan's game.

Did you side with the mages again? That would make sense if you did that.

He was probably self-conscious because his ears couldn't compete with those jumbos the others have...

That's hard to deny though considering how much the devs love her and how idealistic her ending is. At first glance it indeed seems like she's the best choice.

Until someone assassinates her the minute her little inclusion project goes bad.

Cass before then doesn't think much of Lels being Divine. I don't know that I can say Cass is in fact the best divine, only that she seems best suited for it prior to the ending.

My personal theory is that Solas didn't have many direct followers, so there was no one around to 'humanize' him. To the average folks creating murals and other places of worship, he was the Dread Wolf and little else.

Or, being the god of rebellion, when it came time for picture day he just had to be the difficult one.

No, templars, but I conscripted them and the ones who didn't take lyrium remained in the Inquisition under Cullen's command.

Lookee what Dorian is reading. "Rebellion in Ten Easy Steps."

Tangentially related, but I stumbled across an interesting blog post about choices in DA:I that tries to situate the vallaslin scene/choice in a broader context of how the choices Bioware games offer players have developed over the years.

You shouldn't honestly be able to get Celene and Briala back together in the first place. None of the issues that drove them apart are even remotely resolved.

LOL  And I really hate how that **** is set up with the character's reaction and what the game says about their approval. It just makes me feel even more like the mages side is the way to go.

Also yea, to be kewl with deh Cazz, you gotta side with templars, or conscript the mages.

Ah, well. Too bad for the Chantry. I don't think it makes sense not to conscript the templars when their chain of command is completely gone.

Does anyone else find the mosaics of the gods really creepy looking?

Yes me. They remind me of E.T. or Aliens for some reason. God, E.T. creeps me out.. always has and always will :/

It also could have something to do with him being 'different' from the other Creators. Different enough that he could hang out with the Forgotten Ones and be considered as much one of their kin as a Creator.

But just imagine Elgar'nan trying to organize everyone for picture day.

Yeah, Arcane Warriors generally channel their magic into their strength and defense, so just because they aren't using flashy magic doesn't mean they aren't mages.  My Surana would often fight just swinging his sword around, and if not for his love of nuking things with lightning, I imagine most would never realize he was a mage because he usually doesn't have the trappings of a mage.

The plunge into the abyss makes me think of Hawke...  :crying:   (Augh, I want to believe some of those theories, but my Hawke is probably gone for good...)

About things that change though...  I played Abyss again the other day on my current PT, and something Justinia says has been sticking with me.  She says she is how the Maker made her, but is the Inquisitor how the Maker made them?  I remember on my first playthrough, this sort of thing, along with Solas' weird question about Lavellan's "spirit" had me waiting for the other shoe to drop.  I kept expecting that it was going to turn out that the Inquisitor was just a spirit that believed it was that person who died at the conclave, or that the mark had altered them in some profound way they hadn't noticed yet.  The first one didn't happen, but I'm still really suspicious about what the mark may be doing to the Inquisitor.

Fade exposure, or exposure to magic in large doses changes people...  The old magisters used so much lyrium it mutated them (Cory likely looked the way he does before he touched the Black City), and who knows what mega exposure to the powers of the Fade did to the ancient elven "gods".  Maybe they were like other elves once, but I think they've become something more, and that's what Cory was trying to imitate.  He was digging through those elven ruins searching for the means, and he almost had it all.  But in every case, depending on the Inquisitor's actions, it was the Inquisitor who gained what he was after.  The difference is that the Inquisitor doesn't understand what they have exactly, and it might be better for everyone if they never do.

But Quizzy actually ascending to "godhood" would be an interesting twist, especially for a Lavellan who has been fighting it every step of the way.

Then I'm a bit of a bad person, because I figured they 100% deserved each other, issues and all  <_<  And if it made things better for the Orlesian elves without having to let an assassination attempt go through, no skin off my nose.

I agree.  You just are kind of like this rando that pops up 'oh you guys seem so sweet. get back together!' with no real explanation as to why they actually were apart in the first place.  That quest...too much information was in TME  that we really should have had in game.

EDIT:

Ok wait - they actually do deserve each - other because both are gross, horrible people.  So agreed.
