Oh? Man, Their relationship came off.. sort of weird in DA:I. The only information you get is the whole alienage-thing from the Elf lady. 

Yeah, I wish we'd gotten more background on that in the game. Briala had been Celene's handmaiden from a very young age, and they grew up together. She then became Celene's spymaster, managing covert operations for her.

 

And Briala is quite sympathetic in the book. Though since it's from her perspective she kinda has to be.

Best thing he said was that line about "is that hate?" where he talks about the badass ferelden yokels that just did not give a flying **** anymore and attacked chevalier with no weapons n' ****. Fereldens, forever the most badass.

Right? As fun as the ball and court intrigue can be (especially since we got to see Solas having so, so much fun), Orlais is lucky we didn't have a "Okay, nevermind, Corypheus can have you jerks," option after some of what I saw there.   _{And they called me a rabbit. ;-;}

Its quite slow until Halam'shiral then it kicks off.

 

Teagan was the only likkeable character for me, with his jab at Orlaisian food.

After reading TME, I do quite sympathize with Briala a bit, what with her struggles and all. But for some reason, I can't bring myself to really like her.

 

Come to think of it, the only character I really ended up liking in TME was Felassan. 

 

EDIT: I guess I must also admit, I sort of did rather like Gaspard to some extent. Don't ask! I just do. *runs away*
