Oh, darling, exploding dung is just a fact of life.
Your child being the Anti-Christ, seducing the Pope's daughter, putting a drunken Italian Catholic on the throne of Byzantium, and sacrificing the Pope and his Cardinals to Odin in a Blot?
That's crazy.
Wow. I need to play more CKII. I'm so slow with that game though, since I like setting it to the slowest speed and then clicking through every guddamn territory in Europe to see if they've done anything interesting. 100+ hours and I've barely finished one dynasty.

I swear what is it with ancient elves and wearing makeup because I'm fairly certain Abelas is wearing lip gloss in game given how shiny his lips are
They have to stave off the years somehow. ![]()

Everybody in that game is rocking some serious gloss, though. It's like they all just went to a Bonne Belle warehouse sale and Josephine gave everybody like $100.00 and said 'go nuts".

OMG, seriously. I cranked the gloss all the way down so my Lavellan wouldn't look like she'd fallen into a vat of the stuff. Same thing happened with Adaar, and as awesome as Adaar is, I don't think he's rocking the lip gloss either.

On that note, I've been totally playing around with the idea of writing a fic about my Inquisitor's development into a shockingly competent and occasionally frightening politician, when (from my perspective) they were initially pushed into the role in their advisors' efforts to manipulate public belief/ religious fervor into supporting the power grabbing the Inquisition as they grew as an organization and military force. It was a symbolic position, with limited power, given her initial illiteracy and dependence upon her cabinet. Easy to influence. But they get a bit more than they bargained for. And by a bit, I mean a lot. You don't give a person with a ridiculous cunning score the skills they need to outwit you.
But non-ravenous-lore-history-buffs probably aren't going to be super into a politics/ intrigue/ lore-rich fan fiction with historical parallels. So shelved it shall remain.
No wait you don't understand, my blood pressure just skyrocketed while reading this I'm so excited you have to write this

Probably something dramatic since he made his followers (slaves?) tattoo a solid half of their faces.

I'm not sure how I would upload a screenshot, but I just went into Crusader Kings II with the CK2+ mod, and made Count Lambert of Blois of the Valmont Dynasty in the Carolingian Empire, Viking Era start.
If I get myself the Charlemagne expansion, I can probably make the custom Kingdom of Ciriane, then move on to the Orlesian Empire.
(Oh my God I'm an nerd. How did I survive High School?)

I wonder how literal when animals are assigned to elven gods. Did they truely have that particular animal form or is it entirely based on symbolism in that particular culture?
Everytime I see Solas portrayed as a wolf I think back to the Warden-Commander's griffon statue on redcliffe,
It's strange to me as someone portraying their warden as an actual griffon.
