I'd be real nervous to flush away Mythal's Well. If she's dead, Abelas is destroying one of the last remnants of the goddess he was sworn to, the thing he's spent his lifetime protecting. If she's alive, she'd be weakened. And pissed. I can't blame him.

Does the well actually give her her power?

or the well would've been lost ages ago. "Oops, I accidentally flushed the well...sorry.  I guess you can kill me or curse me to live on my own forever. Or lock me behind an eluvian or something.

They could have thought of something! Lol I've played enough Skyrim to know not to try spells like that without become ethereal.

It's the invested power of hundreds of her most loyal and powerful followers, presumably built up over thousands of years .A god with strong followers is much more impressive than one wandering around with a disciple who just cleans up after them.It also lets her do things like bind the leader of the Inquisition to her. ;)   Or her bratty daughter.

Wait... is it power exactly or knowledge in the Well? Although, you could say knowledge is power ;)

I don't like to constantly hear how Hawke is a single big mistake. That's not funny! I spent multiple playthroughs with her, Kirkwall felt like home, I genuinely like her and bonded so much more strongly with her than any of the rather characterless characters. Hawke was awsome. :crying:

My first canon Hawke is a total C-word. For reals. His very existence is a mistake.

Aggressive, blood mage, Rivalemanced both Anders and Fenris to watch them bicker with each other. Ditched Anders, stayed with Fenris (in what is a pretty messed up relationship), cracked a joke when his mother died, cracked a joke when Seamus died, willingly helped Anders put his bomb together and distracted the Revered Mother for him, was constantly foul to Merril, slept with Isabela, let Talis run off with her list of names, couldn't tell that Larius was SO OBVIOUSLY possessed (knowing him, he probably didn't give a toss), let Varric keep the idol, let Isabela keep the tome and then killed the Arishok, let Anders live and sided with the crazy mages...

He was a total screw up and an absolute dick. But that's why I like him and made him one of my two canon Hawkes. He would have been amazing as the Inquisitor. Orlais would have burned to the ground  Best option for Thedas.

Cass would have deeply regretted putting so much effort into hunting him down for the job.

Yea I think it was just knowledge.. But I wouldn't flush google down the toilet, even if it was elven google

Though if some orlesian or something came along... Bye bye elven google.

Orlesian google, search result are usually about fashion advices( which you usually can't afford) or high born gossip. Basically, The Sun online.

I'd like to think that Abelas's thigh regimen is included in the knowledge.  ^_^

But yeah, I'm not too clear on what besides knowledge there is. But seeing as it's the knowledge of the most magically powerful and gifted civilization in Theodosian history, hoo boy.

So I'm curious, what kinds of mods do you have on your Dragon Age Inquisition?

Or if you even have mods installed?

The other thing I find interesting about his "disguise" at Halamshiral is that he adopts it even when the Inquisitor is elven. It struck me as odd at first, that an elf should have an elven manservant and that would be expected, especially since Sera doesn't do the same.

What I don't get is Solas refuses to dance until after everything is over because Lavellan shouldn't be seen dancing with an elven apostate.  I want the option point out that I'm also an elven apostate.

Avejaved: If Varric keeps the Idol shard, he has Bianca build the lyrium-proof safety boxes, but in four layers. He has a team of experts studying the thing, but in hour long, supervised shifts, and their shifts are spread far apart. Basically he's extremely genre savvy about the whole thing. :)

Nothing is said about it in DA2 but in DAI:

He got Bianca to build him about 4 thick storage boxes to keep it in and he has people studying it, but only for an hour at a time and once a week I believe. They don't seem to find anything though, which Bianca helpfully points out is her excuse for studying it and seeking out a grey warden mage to help.

Jerk Hawke is the Hawke Kirkwall deserves imo :D The poor guy earns a bit of extra cash and suddenly everyone is asking why he isn't shouldering more responsibility for Kirkwall. Why should he!? Then they start asking his opinion on things he knows nothing on. Then he gets blamed for the fact that his friends are all jerks as well. They were like that before they started hanging out with him! It's not his fault! He's from the arse-end of Ferelden! He knows nothing! It'd be like me winning the lottery, buying a mansion down in London and then having David Cameron start referring major decisions of this country to me. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?

I hate Kirkwall. That lot couldn't organise a ******-up in a Brewery. It's a bit like living in Gotham - Why. Why would you ever chose to live in that place!?

The awesome brothel, obvi.

And if you want to get away with crimes, all you gotta do is pick a mage and say they have blood magic. Yes it's a themepark for scumbags.

I'm tempted to import a worldstate in which Anders lives just so I can help Sebastian annex Kirkwall.

All of this. Exactly.

I guess no one ever taught Hawke how to say "No," or "I don't know," or "**** off, leave me alone!" Lol.

Basically, Hawke is Mr. Fantastic and Kirkwall is the NCR.

Aveline would make a terrible Viscount.  Her rule would be nothing but Cullen's war table choices.

'No, this is ridiculous'

'Let's send heavily armed soldiers to deal it.'

'Yes, but what this needs is more weaponry'

'Do we need allies?  March!.'

And so on...

Fascinating about Varric. I had no idea.

I remember early spoilers saying he went nuts and you had to kill him if he kept it. lol.

Well, just being an elven apostate already got you -30 court approval (iirc). So dancing with another one likely wouldn't do you any favours. Solas also isn't influential enough to pique the court's interest, and at that point in the evening he knows that the Inquisitor should be endearing herself to the court.

Of course, once everything's dealt with then you don't need to give a sh*t what the court thinks and you can dance with as many elven apostates as you want.  Most satisfying part of the night.

*melts*

Ahem. Well, going by the fleur-de-lis curtain and the Maferath statue, I'm guessing somewhere Orlesian... other than that, no idea.

I'm starting to suspect that it was modded? No idea how they did that though.

Lol what do you mean goofy? It makes him look a lot more handsome than normal here to me. He's like Cass, he should smile more, lol. Though he smiles more than Cass does. Cass usually just pulls a Mona Lisa. And it's always glorious.

Hahaha. I meant "goofy" in an endearing way. Solas has a wonderful smile. And yeah, I do wish we could've seen him smile more. I only remember him smiling during the romance scenes and at the very beginning of the game when he's all, "who, me? I am but a simple elven apostate. Nothing suspicious here, nope."

Oh, tumblr. I forgive it all the drama because it keeps providing me with Solas/Fluffy dog reaction photos.

Oh ho hooo~ I haven't done that War Table mission in my current run yet. This is Jerk Hawke's world state so maybe this would be the perfect time to let Seb try and take Kirkwall and get Leliana's agents close to him.

I absolutely despise Sebastian, but between him and Kirkwall he is probably the lesser of two evils.

Kirkwall can forever suffer his preaching *evil laughter* The ultimate punishment.
