No. That was when he removes the vallaslin.   That's why he didn't say anymore because it's a massive spoiler to the romance.

Well people say that's what he says when Lavellan falls in battle. Are you sure he doesn't? I guess we'd have to search the voice files to know for sure. But yeah, it's not his common usage. I'm not sure why they don't have him using her first name. Obviously he can't do that in the game.

Yeah - I think fic writers want people to be able to "insert your own Lavellan" here.  Frankly I think the default name is then fine. Everybody knows who it is.  Also it's not like you are constantly calling a person by name in a normal conversation.  The amount of times I have seen it in some is COMICAL:

 

Solas: Vehnan - blah blah blah

Lavellan: blah blah blah, vhenan

Solas: blah blah blah vhenan

Lavallan: Vhenan

Solas: Vhenan....

It doesn't pop up post story, and Solas does not need to be in your party to have them count.

Just save before you speak to Solas after returning from the temple. The conversation you have with him there leads into that scene. Bonus if you pick the good luck kiss option.

Although... I have played games where you put in your name and the characters will say it. It's not as jarring as you might expect, but it is probably a lot of work for the voice actors and it can be weird depending on pronunciation.

No kidding, the dankness and rubble, yea that matches what I saw in their streets alright. Also accurate descriptions for Detroit, Toledo, and friggin New Jersey. Especially the rift. Matches the radiation green glow, lol.

NJ and Cleveland - two places I used to call home.  Love 'em.  But yes...similar levels of despair.

Hmm... that's interesting. What does he mean by "make it more affordable"?

1. Before he breaks up with you - after the Mythal talk - you can say "can i get a good luck kiss and by kiss i mean let's bang".   which is the gist of what Lavellan says

 

2. Make it more affordable - this romance was put in at the last min. when budgets were increased a bit and they got more time.  Weekes wrote it in one weekend without getting prior approval. He made it specific to female elves - thus the vallaslin.  However he doesn't have the final say so on how content is implemented. Producers and EA do have the final word.  So because of how well the story was on its own and they could justify to the suits making it gated by saying 'we don't have much left in the budget'.

I live in the crown jewel of industrial cities now - Chicago.  It's not nearly as bad as the others but right outside is Gary, Indiana.  It wouldn't feel like home if I couldn't see the rotting carcass of some unused trainyard/steel mill from my apartment.
