NJ and Cleveland - two places I used to call home. Love 'em. But yes...similar levels of despair.
Here all you are, sharing stories of seedy industrial cities with their smog and their urban decay, and I'm just, "Y'know, Seattle doesn't have as many trees as I would like."
Everett's got some shady areas, I guess. For awhile we had a worse murder rate than LA. (Because they miss out on a lot of the bodies in LA, apparently.

I've been to those places before though. Toledo Cleveland and Detroit when I was visiting papa bear up north.
Nope, I'm southern. Clear air, lots of trees, deer n' ****. Though my area is getting developed so you have to drive a bit more out than in the past to get to that. Still, better than the city. ![]()
