I just finished the destruction of Haven in my 2nd PT and you know the part where the inquisitor is walking through the blizzard? You can hear a wolf howling in the distance. I remember in my first pt I kept expecting to get jumped by wolves, which never happened. But now I was thinking, what if that was Fen'harel guiding the player to safety? The howling totally gets louder the closer the inquisitor gets to the camp.

 

I like that part I'm guessing it means Solas is watching out for the Inquisitor. He's got his furry friends keeping an eye on her/him.

What's wrong with patch 4

Death and Solas would be a great crime-fighting duo. 

I always associated Pollution with Cole, for some reason. In the ragged, young, blond, and endearingly weird and slightly creepy way.

Cole is much more adorable, of course.

What's wrong with patch 4

It's causing more graphics issues, and now the sound is dropping in and out. Then the crashing, that is almost as bad as PS3 version at launch.

I'm a PC noob, so I don't know how to uninstall the patch, or other work arounds.

Well, I think it's also very easy to read his guiding Lavellan or honestly ANY Inquisitor out of Haven as a very intelligent, tactical move on his part. It's clear he needs the inquisitor for his own ends. Not to mention the rifts still exist and need to be closed, they are the only one capable of doing so at present.

As for Lavellan, his guiding her via wolves is before the "I gave that ****** a castle" face and most certainly before Lavellan gets the chance to kiss him. They've flirted, but never more. So, for a Solas-Lavellan narrative, this might be the moment in which he realizes his desperation to find her and bring her back safely extends beyond simple self-interest.

The Tevinter Broke into the Maker's House

  Those who had been cast down, the demons who would be gods, began to whisper to men from their tombs within the earth. And the men of Tevinter heard, and raised alters to the pretender gods once more, and in return were given, in hushed whispers, the secrets of darkest magic.

  But it was not worship the false gods craved. 

  They urged the magisters to ever-greater depravity, rewarding them with power and more. Arrogance became a great caged beast in the lands of Tevinter, and emptiness that consumed all and could never be filled. To satisfy its hunger, the mage lords, at the goading of their gods, assaulted the Golden City, heart of all creation, to take the Maker's power for themselves. 

  With magic born of mingled blood and lyrium, the Tevinter broke into the Maker's House. But the promised power did not await them there. 

  The moment they entered the city of the Maker, their sin poisoned it. What had been golden turned back, and violently they were flung from the world of dreams back into the waking world. Twisted and corrupted by their crime and their magic into monsters, they fled underground, unable to bear the light of day. The first darkspawn.

Cultural Interpretations of the Fade:

Chantry

  According to the Chantry, the Fade is a land of primeval matter from which the Maker formed the world and all living beings. When the living die, their souls enter the Fade, and if they are faithful, pass through to join the Maker at His side. The wicked and unfaithful, however, are stuck in the Fade, doomed to wander endlessly.

 

Elves

  Old elven beliefs call it "the Beyond," a holy place once home to their gods. What little of elven lore has survived speak of Fen'Harel, a trickster god who schemed to take the Beyond for himself, imprisoning his brethren in the Eternal City at its heart. The elves believe their gods remain trapped in the prison to this day, as Fen'Harel, the Dread Wolf, gleefully patrols the Beyond to feast upon the souls of the dead.

 

Dwarves

  A dwarf entering the Fade is a rare thing. The underground dwellers do not dream, and ages of lyrium exposure have made them largely immune to its power. Because no dwarven souls are found in the Fade, the Chantry claims that the dwarves were not created by the Maker.

 

Qunari

  The Qunari believe the Fade is the Land of the Dead. Entering it in any fashion is strictly forbidden by the Qun, and the idea that a sleeping Qunari might ever enter such a realm is reprehensible. Qunari insist that they do not dream as others do. Since they are rarely encountered in the Fade, it can be hard to refute that claim.

There's a codex entry about how halla statues are in vogue in orlais. I have a feeling that's all it is. They are in human playthrough.

It's weird.. if it was a pack of wolves I think it would be normal for them to attack. In that case I wouldn't give it much importance.. But if they see you and don't attack, or even more walk away.. then in that case it sounds interesting...    

But, how do you know that Solas is not surprised to see her get back to the camp? The only ones who say something are Cullen "It's her!" and Cass "Thank the maker!", and you don't see Solas until after the song Only Mother Giselle. No?

Though I like to think that he had something to do with it..
