I find some horror, especially vintage horror, soothing in it's own way.

I've never read Lovecraft though, so I've no idea.

It depends on what you find frightening.  I highly recommend reading it.    Getting into it in this manner is...difficult.  Solas' voice is distracting in the most pleasant way.

Depends on what you're afraid of. They're a classical reading.

Hmmm.

I have a mild form of astraphobia.

I think that may be the only thing I'm legitimately terrified of. And it may be more specific to tornadoes- as I was in one in 2007 and haven't been able to handle storms without alcohol since.

Someone needs to stop me going into the CC thread. Every time I do I suddenly hate all my quizzies for not being as pretty as everyone elses and want to dive back into the CC. It's bad. I can't possibly do another playthrough of this game any time soon and yet I spent about an hour this afternoon making a Male Qunari because I am an ADDICT. Plus Thedas nears more Qunari blondes. Because I say so.

Spoiler

My game went a bit nuts today. Or I went nuts. Or both.

Starting with the Dwarf who took flight during Blackwall's personal mission. Words cannot sufficiently describe so I gif'd it.

MY PEOPLE NEED ME.

KaSFTLc.gif

The crowd is gasping whilst I'm dying of laughter. Way to kill the moment.

Bull is also broken in my game. Or did he always suck? Dude get's KO'd by one hit from a red templar. ONE HIT. He is kitted out in crafted armour from the second best schematic in the game, made from all dragony bits, and yet the dude spends every battle being dead. Meanwhile Dorian, Varric and my Quizzy are left to clean out the Emprise by themselves without much trouble. Two mages and rogue! Unacceptable!

I wouldn't be using him if I wasn't trying to trigger all of his and Dorian's banter. I am at least getting more of that with this new patch, however it's still not frequent enough for how late in the game I am. Especially as I hadn't used Bull and Dorian together until today so I'm going right from the start. I've been pretty much wandering to every corner of the map or just standing in camp for ages.

"Remember that Herald of Andraste? That elf who used to spend ages just standing around in campsites? Occasionally walking in a circle around the site before returning to just standing there again? Yeah, why were we all so impressed by her? I think she was simple."

Also, I totally headcannon those wolves have something to do with Solas. I found them a comfort amongst the snow. Comfort! I don't get much else so I'm taking that. Also, I'm pretty sure he would be worried about the Inquisitor. He doesn't take too kindly when they willingly throw my life into the fire. He needs them in one piece

aaand sleep. I'm going to regret my banter madness in the morning, which it already is. Argh. 20 minutes Bioware, that's how often banter should trigger. That would be better. It seems to be 40-60 minutes at the moment which just isn't enough when I can clear a map of all rifts/shards/landmarks/areas in about 3 hours.

Maybe I should play slower..

I was home sick yesterday with back spasms & listened to Cthulhu while lying flat & under the influence of a muscle relaxant. It was like GD-L was reading me a bedtime story. His voice was so soothing that I forgot all about the pain & fell asleep. His voice is positively medicinal, I tell you!

Listen to him read you to sleep. I'm just saying.

Nothing says bedtime story like Solas talking about architecture that can drive whoever views it insane.

Too calming for a Cthulhu story. It doesn't strike fear into my heart.

I just finished the destruction of Haven in my 2nd PT and you know the part where the inquisitor is walking through the blizzard? You can hear a wolf howling in the distance. I remember in my first pt I kept expecting to get jumped by wolves, which never happened. But now I was thinking, what if that was Fen'harel guiding the player to safety? The howling totally gets louder the closer the inquisitor gets to the camp.

It also clicked to me in my second playthrough. The wolves might mean nothing or it might be him guiding her through that blizzard and I find that oddly comforting. I'm on second Lavellan right and I'm about to do that part. I've never actually seen any wolves! I like this. *headcanon accepted*

Cradle yourself to sleep while listening to the horrors of Cthulhu. It certainly is soothing in the calming voices. Here's the link to my stream, if it wasn't noticed before.

edit: just play it in the background, you don't have to watch me draw.

I have a Cthulhu dress. I love that dress. I wear it when I need to pray to the Old Ones for inspiration. Or when it's Thursday.

Also, Solas.

If a Solas reconciliation is not possible, I want:

Abelas: Now I have a new name.

Inquisitor: Sex machine?

Abelas: No.

Inquisitor: Sex-o machine-o?

Abelas: You always ruin the moment. I was trying to have a moment.

Inquisitor: A naughty moment?

Abelas: Sometimes, I think I should have just gone to sleep.

[naughty moments are then had]

If not that then:

Cullen: Hello, Inquisitor and Dorian. You are watching the soldiers train, again. Is this really necessary? You were here yesterday. And the day before.

Inquisitor: I'm your Inquisitor! (points into the air)

Cullen: Why is Dorian here?

Inquisitor: He is here to counsel on points of military strategy.

Cullen: He's not even a soldier! He's a mage!

Inquisitor: He has strategy.

Dorian: Oh yes, I was reading up on some ancient Tevinter training exercises used by the gladiatores. Now, you will need to split the soldiers into two teams. Let's say one team will be bare, let's call them the "skins," and another can wear their shirts, so "shirts." Shirts and skins. Now the object is. . .

Cullen: No.

Dorian: There is also a fascinating text on wrestling techniques.

Cullen: No.

Bull: I'm game.

Any news today?

I don't think there was anything specific to Solas, but it seems that the Dragon Age Keep updated today. They also mentioned that they're working out a few final bugs before opening the Inquisition section.

Not at all. I'm very interested to see which choices show up to be saved, though most of them are likely easily guessed. ...And I enjoy looking at the art, I won't lie.

That heart behind his head is RUDE. It should be like a crater. Or he could at least be weeping.

If it was animated he should be weeping as "Beloved and Precious" scrolls across the screen.

I absolutely love this idea. And it would make sense, considering that Solas appears to be returning from somewhere right in the middle of everyone singing.
