The artist had to put that there due to fact people were taking it from Tumblr.

It's the internet, you can't prevent these things. The internet is full of thieves.

Then make a tumblr account and post your stuff there so people don't have to post it on their own.  While making a blog is a step forward, you can't prevent it. The most you can do place the source but don't make it so large that it obscures the picture for everyone. There are tons of artists who show their work without splashing an "I made this". It's just weird that with all her other works, this one has a watermark. Not just stopping at a watermark, a giant signature too.  A small signature or url can give credit, not sure why this specific one is an exception compared to her other stuff..

It is unfortunate that they didn't allow you to question him more. I'm guessing they figured it would make him look too suspicious, or perhaps, it would have been more to his character to actually be truthful at a certain point. Particularly after the temple of Mythal. We've already seen that there are ancient elves left. It wouldn't have been that much of a stretch to assume he was also one, possibly tasked with recovering the orb in the same way that Abelas was tasked with guarding the well.

But then again, the game is sort of ambiguous as to how much time happens between the arbor wilds and the endgame. It could be that there wasn't much time at all to ask questions. They arrived back, and Corypheus attacked.

I'm pretty sure it can't be much time between them. There's enough time for Cullen to get back but I remember him saying that most of the Inquisition forces hadn't returned yet.

Watermarks like that are so easy to take out. Especially on such a simple drawing....

The watermark uses a default font of Calibri too, so you know, super easy.

So what do we know, if anything, about the last of the four forbidden ones? The Formless One, I think.

Gaxxkang in DA:O.  Xebenkeck in DA2.  Imshael in DA:I.

I did not know this.  Thanks for the clarification. So are they demons who give themselves over to more purpose beyond mindless raging?  Is that what makes them special or they actually different in some way?

According to the wiki, nothing. Doesn't even have an entry on him.

The first of the magus cast themselves deep in the Fade in search of answers and power, always power. They found the forbidden ones – Xebenkeck, Imshael, Gaxkang the Unbound, and The Formless One. Many conversations were had and much of the fabric of the world revealed. And thus the magic of blood was born.” ―Unknown mage

That is the main mention that I can find.

I bet they wait until DA4 though, with one forbidden one each game?

Wasn't there like two, last game? A pride demon guy and xebenkeck or whatever.

Nothing...  I remember some people thought it might be Cole, and there were some good points towards that theory.  The Forbidden Ones can physically manifest in human form, which is really unusual, and Cole can do the same.  The "Formless" thing also seemed to suit Cole's nebulous nature in the novel, not knowing what he really was, and being invisible to most.  But I seriously doubted Cole was the Formless One, and it seems even more unlikely now that we know he was originally a Compassion spirit, and not a demon.

I always had an idea that the forgotten ones were pretty much the first elvhen pantheon that got forgotten and pretty much thrown aside to the void.  Having Fen'Harel also be friends with them kinda gave off that he wasn't all about the power, more than making everyone free. He isn't all about war from what I could gather.

It's alright, it'll be all over soon.

It could be that Cole is the opposite of whatever a Forbidden One is. Presumably if there are 'super' demons, then there are greater spirits that are able to manifest themselves.

But we also have Lord Woolsley, so maybe the ability to take solid shape in the mortal world is more related to how determined a spirit/demon is at getting there.

Hybris was a bonus boss, but I don't he's explicitly identified as one of the Forbidden Ones.

Hybris was a demon from the tomes quest, but not a Forbidden One.

Edit: Which is funny because that bossfight was waaaay harder than the Xebenkek one.

I am SO confused by Lood Woolsley.  I never killed him.  I just begrudgingly took him back to his wack-a-doo owner so it was on here that I learned he was a demon.  So is he a possessed ram? Is he a spirit that took ram form to help the family but was corrupted from his purpose when he got attacked/lost?

Hybris wasn't a Forbidden One, he was like a Super Pride Demon...  Really kinda mysterious.  I was thinking of him earlier with all the talk about the Void.  He says something like "I hold a piece of every fool who ever sat a throne here or in the Black".  Then he drops a magic sword that Andraste gave Shartan.  I'm not onboard the Solas=Shartan theories, but I do wonder where Andraste got that sword.  Fen'Harel was considered to be aligned with the Forgotten Ones as well as the Creators, after all...

Could have sworn it was DA 2... maybe I'm thinking of Audacity. Which I swear sounds like a stripper name.

I want the Formless One to be terrifying beyond all comprehension, the name screams Lovecraft, I'd love him to live up to that... especially since we've kicked the asses of all the forbidden ones we've met so far, it would be a shock no?

Edit: Unless it's Solas or something, in which case..not.

Yeah, tho I think Lord Woolsley was just a possessed ram.   Kinda like the Elder Tree, not all possessed stuff is necessarily evil demons.
