I have a question, Solas gets upset if you drink from the well of sorrows saying that you are bound to a god that doesn't exist/ aren't gods and such. after the end credits, he appears to absorb flemeth's power, now If you drank from the well instead of morrigan are you therefore bound to Solas????
(one could only hope lol)
Unclear. Dev notes say that Solas took Flemeth/Mythal's power, but that she always intended her godhood (ie; Mythal's wisp) to pass on to Morrigan. So we don't really know who holds the leash for the Well.
That was awesome, lol. And lulzy. What is that from?
Oh my god what even.
Who are you?
my friend: "I don't like any of these divine options. Can I have Solas as the next Divine?"
me: No...that'll end up with him probably locking away the whole world.
My friend: "What does that mean?"
Me: "you'll see..."
My theory is that whatever he did to seal away the elvhen gods might have trapped an unknown amount of elves along with them. You can't exactly spring a trap like that and not hit some collateral damage. This would explain the lack of leadership in Arlathan. With no upperclass or nobility to reasonably bring order, the slave revolt happens and the remaining nobles or otherwise 'capable' rulers are slain in the ensuing conflicts.
It would also explain a fair amount of the guilt he feels. He would be the only one who can reasonably retrieve them. Since Solas considered 'giving up' his plans [according to Weekes], whatever he plans to do can't be world shattering if he failed to do it. So he's not out to save the world...at least, not exactly. I think he feels indebted to The People, whoever they are, for what he did to them. And that trumps whatever else he might feel.
Of course, even this theory does make him out to be crazy reckless. He would have no idea what effects being sealed away would have on 'mortal' elves. Opening the door to try and let the 'innocents' out could also wake up the elven gods he worked so hard to trap up. And there's a fair chance that most ancient elves are going to be assholes and would simply create Arlathan 2.0, with dalish and city elves invited in as slaves.
That said- according to what he says to Cole, whatever he plans to do is going to lead to his own suffering. So not quite sure what that would mean. Perhaps he thinks he can switch places with them. Or perhaps it is something else entirely.
You're right. 100%. Unless, he's just going to start a good ol' fashioned rebellion - [ god-speed Solas. Do you need an army? I have one! ] I'm very worried with what he's going to do. If it's old magic. Then no. The world has moved on from that magic. It's changed and evolved beyond it. Last time someone tried to do that, we got the blights. UGH...my sweet sweet bald sad man.
I also made an ever smuttier version of the Solas grunt compilation. For your listening pleasure.
I am laughing out loud so hard right now.

My favorite part is still the Prince and the Count's casual discussion about murder and torture in front of the tree.

LOL see above.
This reminds me of how I was drawing a Princess Bride/ Solavellan image...I need to finish that one.

My favorite is definitely Miracle Max's scene.

I did not know this. Thanks for the clarification. So are they demons who give themselves over to more purpose beyond mindless raging? Is that what makes them special or they actually different in some way?
They seem to be smarter than other demons. Solas tells Blackwall that he can surive fighting a demon if he lasts past the first 30 heartbeats because by that point he'll have seen every move the demon has. When Imshael kills the Dalish in The Masked Empire he uses a wide number of different means.
I am SO confused by Lood Woolsley. I never killed him. I just begrudgingly took him back to his wack-a-doo owner so it was on here that I learned he was a demon. So is he a possessed ram? Is he a spirit that took ram form to help the family but was corrupted from his purpose when he got attacked/lost?
This was discussed a while back. Many of us believe that his lordship is a spirit who is corrupted into a demon by the Inquisitor attacking it.

It wasn't my fault! He jumped into the middle of my combat with rogue templars and mages!
I'm sorry Lord Woolsley....

Have you... never seen the Princess Bride?

When Fen'Harel sealed off the gods, he didn't know what would happen to the elves, he had no idea about the Tevinter empire...anything really. Maybe he thinks that releasing the gods would be preferable to what is happening now. Maybe he has no choice and whatever he did back then is wearing thin and he needs his (and Mythal's) power to control what is happening rather than just letting it happen.
