Even knowing what it means, it's all fluff to me when reading it. Elven junk that sounds hot when said in sexy time.

Sofia Vergara could say "The chicken is now breastfeeding the buffalo to cross the road," in Spanish and I'm pretty sure I'd still get off to it.

El pollo le está dando de mamar al búfalo para que cruce la carretera....

Ah no, sorry! That would be "la gallina le está dando de mamar al búfalo para que cruce la carretera...."

It's late...

Solas, Solas, and Solas.

The best party for any occasion, clearly. Just imagine the banter.

Yeah my lavellan is more like the former. She kind of indulges the mother and goes on her merry way. She doesn't fully truck with solas' "uncomfortable lie is better than a comfortable truth". She's got bigger fish to fry then getting in religious arguments with mother Gisselle and trying to tear down her faith. bit she also thinks Cory is a magister because like you say...why would he need to lie.

My Lavellan is courteous enough not to say anything to Giselle or Cass about it.  Unlike Solas, she has some concept of tact  :D But she is 100% on board the uncomfortable truth train.

Only if Calpernia is your nemesis, I think?  Does Dorian say anything about Samson?

I swear my Lavellan must be the only one who didn't spend weeks and months crying her eyes out in a heartbroken daze after the breakup. :P She didn't sob on anyone's shoulder, get drunk, blather on about the breakup to her companions, or otherwise wander around like her whole world ended. She was hurt and upset, but mostly confused and figured whatever, give him space and we'll see what happens. We kinda got this bad guy to kill.

Maybe it's because I play her as being older and content with herself and not necessarily needing or wanting a relationship - she just wasn't going to pass up what seemed like a good thing when it presented itself. She might also be taking Leliana's words to heart that Solas might appear one day. After all, he ran off for a bit after Wisdom, right? RIGHT?

Sigh. -_-

So much this! My Lavellan is the first to her clan and just found out that half of what they believe and pass on is a lie. She's way too busy trying to find the truth to sit around and cry. She's upset, yes, but she's upset about a LOT of things after those last 10 hours of the game, and she'd rather work on fixing it than mope.

Honestly, I think she'd be more upset if she hadn't found out all those other things about the Elvhen/Vallaslin/Mythal/etc. It's all keeping her pretty distracted right now.

Depends.  If you're a Knight Enchanter you're playing on super easy and if you're a Rift Mage you're playing on easy.

Lol, corrected or uncorrected, picturing that in Sofia Vergara's voice still made me warm inside.

Darn. There goes my positive vote quota. I'm afraid I must take my leave. Time to draw Solas' magnificent onsie and all the wonder and beauty that is Princess Bride Solavellan.

Oh.  You'e going to need a tank.  Cass is the only warrior I've taken to the Temple, so I don't know which is the best.

(I'm an Inferno/Rift Mage.  Nothing like using pull of the abyss then spamming every spell I have with no cooldowns)

pffft google searched GDL DLC (in retrospect, not the best search term I could've gone for) and got "Cheap flights from Dalian to Guadalajara" haha. Yes, that's exactly what I'm looking for. I need to work out my Solas feels in Mexico.

...on second thought, that does sound like a good idea.

As a player, no. For the same reason that I don't get mad at Cass for her comments at the Temple of Mythal. Faith is really, really important to both of those characters; in a lot of ways, it forms the core of their identities. So I can understand them being defensive and not wanting to think about the implications of what Coryflora says. Kind of like Sera's "LA LA LA LA" coping mechanism.

As a character, it drives my Lavellan absolutely batty. For all that Coryflora's nuts, he doesn't seem like the type to lie about something like that. Why would he? He thinks so little of you that taking the effort to lie about the Black City doesn't seem worthwhile.

Though I believe that Coprophages is not necessarily reliable in his memory of what happened...I mean, first, it happened hundreds of years ago...second, the dude is clearly crazyballs from the experience, his transformation/disfiguration, and his subsequent imprisonment. Despite the fact that his fashion choices are STELLAR, the guy just doesn't strike me as dependable.

I kinda feel he and the other guys got to the Black City, but when they found it full of insane elven gods instead of the Maker, everyone just kind of lost their shizz and went all sideways and corrupted. I mean, SOMETHING cast them out...so I don't really believe that he found the place empty.

Him and abelas talk. Dorian leans that tevinter might not be as atrociously awful as first believed.

That's what I meant not fully truck. I think solas just takes that philsophy as an excuse to be an ass sometimes. She's like...no solas you don't have to be a jerk. She gets into it with Giselle but over Dorian during his companion quest and then after when she's like 'oh I'm worried about you reputation'.

You know, in reference to some Lavellan's being older and not crying her eyes out over him, I don't think it matters how old or mature you are, more like how you are personality-wise and how you as an individual handles heartbreak.  Some of us are still little emotional balls even as we get older and more "mature" :3  I'll probably still be a crybaby in my 90s lol!

Mmh, maybe the most respectful is Blackwall. I think both Cass and Bull disapprove if you do the rituals (not sure). I'd say take the warrior you like more and bring Solas and Dorian :P

I can ship it. Then both Lavellan and Dorian can share ancient elf problems!

...on second thought maybe I don't wish that upon Dorian.

I played my Lavallan pretty much the same. :) She's older and the breakup (and Solas' later departure) did not leave her an emotional wreck. Oh, she might have taken a night to be alone in the forest, and then clammed up tight about the whole thing afterward. But she turned all her focus toward closing the remaining rifts as it's the one she can do something about.

I wasn't too clear in what I meant by that, so I apologize. I mean that a lot of people have their Lavellans actually being young - early to mid 20s - and mine is close to 40. Not everyone will be "older and wiser" by that age, nor will every young Lavellan be "immature," but there are life experiences tempering my character by that point.

And that screenshot is lovely.

My Lavellan is a complete wreck :(  Solas was her first love, and it was a very passionate, emotionally intense relationship.  But she only shows the extent of her devastation to certain characters: Cole, Dorian, and Leliana.  With the others, it's pretty obvious that she's upset after Solas leaves, but she holds it together.

It's Vivienne who winds up coaching her, helping her build that porcelain mask of courtesy that keeps others from seeing her pain.  After that, she's a lot more careful.  She's still pretty warm and open around her inner circle, but everyone else sees almost nothing.  Also because I like causing him pain, that's all Solas sees from her if he ever returns, at least at first.

My girl is fairly young, but I don't see her being completely destroyed by the breakup. She had angry tears, kicked something, and probably chased after him. It would be an awkwardly silent walk back, but I don't think she'd want either of them to go back alone. And she'd want to keep him in her sights, in case he was planning on jumping ship for reals.

Although to be fair, I don't know if she really took the break up as final. She's a confident, somewhat self centered woman. It probably didn't hit her until he said that 'what we had was real' line that it might actually be the end.

And when he never came back, she probably defaulted to worrying. Kind of like, "oh ****, I missed something. I made a big mistake."
