Tbh, I'm here more for the community than anything else. All I have to offer in discussion when lore isn't brought up is teasing and sarcasm. And lols. Lol. I like Solas... but not that much, ha.
I'd like him more if there was more to do with him. He's a bud, but I feel like Dorian's closer to a BFF. Solas does a lot for you and he is fond of you, but he just doesn't give enough of himself.. like Garrus. He doesn't really confide in you much, not unless it's to help you with spirits or the inquisition. I wish I could get closer to him, but he's distant on purpose. Unless you take him to the fade and to the elven ruins, which you do because why wouldn't you, lol.
It was much worse even, you can't imagine. When I was a kid we had to phone people or even go there to talk to them. And mobile phones were only there for speaking, nothing else. Kids even had to do their home reading themselves because there was no Wikipedia. It was all very medieval.

Anyway, I doubt I said anything that people who did the friendship run with Solas haven't already. You get some nice meaningful bits with Solas, but his bromance doesn't compare to that of Garrus. That's tough to beat. Maybe if we got to shoot targets with fireballs together. Yea... that'd be worth playing a mage for.

I was too. I thought Bioware was going to use him as an opportunity to preach to us about accepting homosexuality or something. Unfortunately I bought into that because all the gaming sites reporting DA I news kept focusing on that and I thought that's how Bioware presented him, but they barely mentioned his gay stuff at all. In game as well. It was handled pretty well I think. A genuinely good and fun character that just happened to be also gay. It wasn't even all that important to his character, it was the tevinter angle that he was centered around.
