You quoted me after my edit! I'm so proud.

They are in the "I gave my ball to the bad guy" corner, and somehow I doubt the Seahawks will find redemption in a DLC.

This may be the first time football has ever felt relevant to my life.

Do the Patriots also wear striped stockings and high heels?

I dunno, I expected football teams to know how to play. But then you'd expect politicians to know how to do their jobs too.... so...

Bah, that was just proof that sports are so rigged. RIGGED I TELL YOU.

I've been living the fangirl life since growing up with Harry Potter as a teenager.  Wouldn't trade it for anything  :D

Not sure if it's old news, but have you all seen the post-Therinfall Solas dialogue that DanaDuchy posted from the game files?  Sounds like it was cut.  Now I have fanfiction plot bunnies for what a post-Envy demon quest might actually look like.

I love that so much - pretty sure it was cut. Would have been very interesting! Kinda gives Solas another side to his relationship with the Inquisitor: he's an advisor behind the scenes. I like that.

The woman is Solas, the stabber is Quizzy, and the loser is Cornflakes. The ball.... payback. That's what you get Solas. That's what you get.

If the Patriots were in heels, the Seahawks might've had a chance at making that throw.

With the level of snark and putdowns for the Seahawks on this thread, you all would be rated as a WMD by most Washingtonians.

I basically thought of him as the Inquisitor's unofficial arcane adviser.  No wonder why he gets so snippy with Morrigan; she turns up in the War Table with the rest of the advisers after Halamshiral  :D

I pop in to share my latest sadness and y'all just perk it right back up. Mean Girls? Porn? Solas/F!Trevelyan? I love this thread. <3

Don't know if I can go through the break-up again, though. I sat there staring at Solas for longer than I care to admit before turning off my game. :( *sigh* Why did the fangirl life have to punch me in the boob and abduct me?

May as well teach you about basketball too.

Been thinking about this, and see some possible metaphors in this story. Firstly, what we know from other sources is that Fen'Harel was clever, that Andruil spent time in Void (which was unusual enough to mention), and the Forgotten Ones originated in the Void.

So let us imagine that Fen'Harel pissed both sides off in an attempt to get the two most "reasonable" members of each warring faction to follow him and meet eachother at a neutral location - in the hopes of agreeing to a truce.

Now, Andruil making Fen'Harel her sex slave - perhaps we can choose to see the using of him as less literal. We know that eventually, Andruil came back from the Void driven to madness, and it has been speculated that this was caused by Red Lyrium, What if the deal struck between Andruil and Anaris for a truce involved Andruil handing over Fen'Harel for Anaris' justice/vengeance.... and Anaris giving Red Lyrium to Andruil as a "gift" (her not being aware of it's long term effects but enjoying its power for a time). So Andruil "used" Fen'Harel (hence "goddess of sacrifice").

So Fen'Harel objects and finds a way of wriggling out of being sacrificed... which unfortunately involves turning Andruil and Anaris on eachother and rendering the truce obsolete.

I see this as being supported by the presence of a tree - in "god" related allegories sometimes a metaphor for "division" - the seed, an idea of aspirations, become matured tree of a very different shape. Andruil ties Fen'Harel to this idea of division of aspiration and bittered experience, resigning herself to that fate when choosing to use Fen'Harel.

if this was a story to illustrate Fen'Harel's pitting the two sides against each other... then what if he wasn't aiming for a truce? What if this story's a metaphor for how the Great Betrayal worked?

Instead of manipulating the Creators and the Forgotten Ones through friendship, maybe he did what he did here: angered both sides to bring them to the same place, only to pit them against each other. Then once they're weak he seals them and escapes.

Ok, this is nothing but pure speculation, but hey, possibilities.

Allow me to redeem myself by offering a chemistry joke.

The Solas romance is like an SN1 reaction:  The one who can most support a negative charge leaves & takes all of the shared electrons with him, leaving the other bond-ee with an unfulfilled shell that must now be filled by someone else with a higher free electron density around their thighs.

I'm out of likes, but I think this is the best metaphor for rebounds I've ever read.

Killabee, you may hate me for this: I ship Cass and Krem.

She thinks he's handsome, professional, and a good fighter, he is charmingly oblivious to her poorly done advances.

Hate you, no, lol. I'm used to nonsensical pairings at this point. Nothing beats Cass X Varic.

Oh, and the person that said this said Cass was too gruff, but Krem they could be attracted to. I'm sorry, that's hilarious. Krem. Better than Solas and Cassandra...

If ever there was a wrong opinion, that's the one, lol, I'm sorry.

Well Krem is a really nice guy, undeniably more than Solas or old Misses Book Stabbing. Krem is the kind of guy you take home to your parents and they approve of him entirely; but he doesn't have that introverted intellectual bad boy quality that Solas does. He just doesn't reach the right level of Cumberbatch.

This pairing...I don't understand. They're friends. That's why that relationship is so amazing.  THEY ARE GOOD FRIENDS. Why can't that be enough. It's a not a weird jealousy thing for me. I don't care. Ship Solas and whomever. I just don't like people being like 'Oh a man and woman are talking to eachother. NOW KISS!' Same thing with Cass/Varric.  Friends..begrudgingly NOT hating each other after a year.  Cullen and Dorian. Friends.  The chess games are not a prelude to anything(though I don't mind that ship so much).

Whatever. Fantasies are fine. Fanfics are fine.  Whatever floats peoples boats.  I shouldn't judge. Yadda yadda yadda.

Solas seems like a perfectly nice guy, the dude just has a looooot of baggage and responsibility on his shoulders. But I'm not talking about just appeal, I mean quality of an in game romance. I mean, Josephine I could see how someone might find more appealing appearance wise than Cass, or if your type is a woman that's more girly or feminine. But her romance, no offense to anyone that likes her, is just lacking in substance compared to Solas, Dorian and Cassandra's. I get that this is opinion, but I feel pretty safe in that statement.

Krem... is just kind of irrelevant to almost everything. How one could even try forcing that into relevance to this story...

I don't get it either, but I'm a supernatural fan. No pairings beat the weird pairings fans make for THAT series. The main characters are brothers for god's sake, and people ship them.

I don't agree Krem would be better than Solas, but I do think he would have made for a pretty good and happy romance. Scout Harding and Dagna (and Researcher Minaeve for M!Lavellan, sue me) too, but I'm more than content with the choices we already have

I miss sassy!Hawke.  And as much as I love Jo Wyatt, I went with Nicholas Boulton for my sassy!Hawke.  That man is the god of insane, trollish glee.

This. Is the best of the best of Hawke's sarcasm....

Yea I'm sure Krem would too if that was someone's thing. I wouldn't be into it regardless of Krem's gender, but I could see people liking it I guess.

I like Scout Harding, but lol there's no way her romance would compare to Cass' or Solas' either. How could it from a storytelling pov. She's just a scout in the inquisition. It would be fun and amusing but all around very safe more than likely.

Totally possible, I guess it's me hoping that Solas would have at least tried the peaceful route first!

My Dragon Age confession is that I cannot wait to visit Tevinter because omg the fashion

Also I favour killing the Chargers over not having the Qunari alliance, sorry bull :(
