Oh wow. Somebody even piped the mashed potatoes like frosting.
Do you think Solas prefers his steak rare?
"As rare as possible, please. Really, just undercook it a bit. Actually, just don't cook it at all." *noms a deer haunch*
OK, sorry if derailing, but I am wondering about 'Solas's artefacts':
I finally started a non-Lavellan playthrough with a female Qunari and so chose interactions with Solas that aren't my usual, I hate to say it but, kiss ass ones.
Krios (her name) admitted that she had trouble thinking about a world with no Veil and he got all passionate about how he'd like that.
BUT, I thought the point of the artefacts was to strengthen the Veil?
Maybe he just would like it in theory, but in reality it would suck?
Just wondering if my bias towards him made me miss something else.
Wait, what? Everyone hates Solas now?
I love Solas. He is flawed, and that makes him remarkably real. Wouldn't have it any other way.
It also spurs some great discussions.

LOL then when Lavellan walks by, he's like "I uh, I'll just have the celery... Sigh."
It's all about that medium rare tbh. The cool pink center is vital for juiciness and chewiness, the two greatest things about a good steak along with just the right amount of char...
Wolves are supposed to be carnivores. I will never accept Solas' love for cupcakes. It just happened in the fade. It doesn't count.

You were saying? ![]()
Most animals eat what they can and when they can. Carnivores occasionally eat fruits and vegetables and herbivores occasionally eat other animals. Nature.

That poor animal... Someone throw that thing a t-bone, for the love of GOD.

LOL, now I've headcanoned that Solas eats a balanced diet to keep up appearances, but is internally sulky about having to eat his vegetables.
You, sir, are a man who knows his steak!

If Solas wants the veil gone, he wants it gone completely, not torn. When there are tears in the veil, innocent spirits are being ripped from their plane and warped into demons.
Strengthening the veil helps avoid more tears from forming.
The inquisitor turns into a queen/king? XD Ugh, no more queens and kings.
Nah, Inquisitor is it's own title.
Oh you are so cruel....lol joking those look delicious. I love to cook so I could probably make something like that. ![]()
My dog ate an entire block of chocolate once. Although, he's also eaten crayons and a twin pack of analgesic throat lozenges. So I don't think his digestive tract is particularly normal.
My Husband gave our two dogs a pint of double fudge chocolate ice cream I got onto him cause I had read chocolate can kill dogs...luckily they didn't die but they acted like they were stoned for 2 days. ![]()

Was the veil that you see in the AU Redcliffe totally down or just really really torn up? Because I got the impression that the veil was totally down and nobody was happy with that, not even Solas.

Hmm. That is a good question. I believe the veil is down at that point- but it probably came down as a result of tearing.
Solas seems to want a world where spirits could choose to cross into our world if they wished, but not get yanked into it. Tears for whatever reason act like a leak in a dam, pulling everything into it and spitting it out.

I don't know if it was totally down...it was torn. I have a feeling the breach just grew and was every where. So I guess it was functionally down. The fade was bleeding into reality but it still the same sort of "violent" breach and not something good.
You can love a character while still accepting and appreciating the fact that they are flawed.
Some people want to have uncomplicated romances in their games. The book opens, the book closes. That's fine! I don't think anyone should feel like they need to explain why they might not like the romance. But on the other hand, there are plenty of people who like the long term appeal of a romance with a strong narrative.
I don't think it is really a matter of whether Solas was right or not, in regards to the relationship. From a purely pragmatic perspective, he probably shouldn't have gotten involved at all. But life isn't made of pragmatic choices. I can't fault someone for wanting to connect, particularly when that someone is a jaded immortal guy who probably needs to have a bit of grounding in the here and now.
Both Lavellan and Solas are adults. While it might be unfair, he isn't obligated to give a justification for breaking up with her. Same as the Inquisitor isn't asked to explain herself if she breaks up with any of them. I suppose I just can't really get on board with him being directly cruel. It isn't like they were planning on getting married and had five kids.
The issue only occurs if Solas later wants to renew the relationship. That is when failing to disclose information becomes a cruelty.
I think your first line is the most important thing to keep in mind when thinking about a character. I love Solas as a character and as a romance but that doesn't stop me from noticing his flaws. If you start thinking of a character as flawless it means that any faults you notice become worse.
Also, why the Seahawks would throw that ball is beyond anyone ever. You only have the best running back in the country. If people hate on them, they deserve it. And I hate smug ass Tom Brady so I'm not partial to the Pats.
I like the Browns though so my football opinions are invalid by default.
With the level of snark and putdowns for the Seahawks on this thread, you all would be rated as a WMD by most Washingtonians.
As a Washingtonian and Solasmancer, allow me to say, that play was definitely deserving of snark. Any putdowns henceforth are fully sanctioned.
The Seahawks losing was actually a good thing for me, I'm hoping all those posers who jumped on the bandwagon after they won the Superbowl last year will stop acting like fruitcakes ;P
If my dog is any evidence, canines always want what they should not have.
Dogs like humans are quite voracious omnivores, Leila loves meat pie... And pudding with cream... and Chulo loves cheesecake...
They are both crazy over chocolate. Which they are never given as it's poisonous to dogs.
No, I spoil but try not to overfeed.
Lol, nope, they're enjoying it.
I can't handle these lies. I understand Sera sooo much better now.
Oh it happened.
No you! I shall be ignorant to this forever!
