Modern Lavellan getting Solas jealous about Babelas over Fadebook. She's kind of my favorite.
I don't think you can understand how much I like this.

Wolves are supposed to be carnivores. I will never accept Solas' love for cupcakes. It just happened in the fade. It doesn't count.
Wolves aren't purely carnivorous though. My mom used to work for a wolf rescue sanctuary. Contrary to popular opinion, wolves are much more omnivorous than humans give them credit for. Out in the wild they may hunt big game as their main "meals," but they'll also eat anything that "doesn't eat them first," as the sanctuary women put it. They'll munch on grass, grasshoppers, random bugs, wild berries, roots, flowers, etc. Wolves in captivity will also occasionally eat fruits and vegetables humans offer them. Some of the wolves at the sanctuary, for example, were unabashed carrot whores. They were just as eager to get their jaws on carrots as my mom's horses.

So I know it was several pages back that you were discussing this but, in regards to the possibility that Solas may have been the one to make the mark on the Inquisitor's hand permanent, I seem to remember in the conversation by the veil fire, him saying something to the effect of whatever the mark was or... However it got there, it was deliberate. I was kind of mesmerized by his swishy, graceful butt, however, I do remember thinking that was particularly interesting. I shall have to go back through and find where Solas says that.
I think that Coryflower implied in the conversation in Haven that the Inquisitor had made the mark permanent by using it. I think Solas would have tried to remove the mark rather than make it permanent. As in "Give my magic baaaaackkk!!!"

If Solas could have removed it back in Haven, I rather think he would have. You were nothing to him, back then. What was stopping him from just taking the mark, even if it killed you, and going on his merry way?

Killabee is like a brother you antagonize on purpose after pinching your own arm and blaming it on him to mom.
My cousin did this all the time, lol. I always got in trouble without fail because my grandpa was a sap and fell for that huffing and puffing. I always got the last laugh though. I can take a beating, she can't lololol. Good times.

I would imagine part of the spell Coryphyshit was performing on The Divine, was to become permanentely attached to her/whomever the vessel was. Using Justinia was more a political move, a giant blighted middle finger to humanity, allowing him the precious time needed to complete his plan, while the whole of Thedas reeled from the explosion and loss of their "Most Holy". The Quizzy having the orb flung his/her way was just, well, timely intervention? The spell's permanent properties transferred to the Inquisitor in the way it was intended for the original vessel. I think... right?

I don't know if it was totally down...it was torn. I have a feeling the breach just grew and was every where. So I guess it was functionally down. The fade was bleeding into reality but it still the same sort of "violent" breach and not something good.
Thanks all for the replies.
From what I recall of that scene, there was no more Veil. There was writing about there being demons everywhere and the Venatori running out of bodies for the demons to inhabit, or something.
My feeling is that things just don't necessarily result the way you hope or wish them to; and in that case, a free and open Fade and Reality world wasn't what Solas thought it would be.

TRUTH. We needed some more testosterone. Don't get me wrong, I love all the estrogen in here. But we needed a Bog Unicorn to our Rainbow Cupcake Sparkle Unicorn. It allows us to feel free to be all the different kinds of unicorns inbetween as compared to feeling trapped into one flavor.
Keep being awesome you guys. And Killabee? I got your back, bro. I'll make you legit Cassandra art sometime.
Yes! Though I like your art in general

I didn't say he could, I said that I didn't think he tried to make it permanent as it makes more sense that if he would have tried to do anything with the mark, it would be removing it.
I'm not sure about what he did exactly and we'll probably never know. My best guess is that he knew he couldn't remove it so he tried to keep the Inquisitor alive.

I think when Solas says that 'it was deliberate', he means that the orb specifically chose to bond to them. The Inquisitor is the only person who actually accesses and uses the orb's true power. At least a portion of it. Corypheus attempts to at several points, but he can't unlock it. Solas can't unlock it.
For what reason, we don't know. Possibly might never know. The game seems to imply there may have been a bit of divine intervention going on there. Either via the maker, or the spirit world.
