With Michel, I disliked that he was willing to put down people that were part of his heritage (or even that he was willing to take part in the corrupt Chevalier system at all, really) for his own gain. But in all mediums, Bioware is excellent at creating polarizing characters that appeal to different people for different reasons; there are probably good sides to Michel that I'm blind to.

I found Mihris to be sympathetic because she'd spent her entire life with one group of people, being told (erroneously) that non-Dalish were horrible etc. Then the first humans she meets cause her clan to be killed. Though I can certainly understand why Celene and Michel needed to escape, their callous disregard for innocent life didn't endear them to me. And ironically, they ended up validating the clan's xenophobic outlook.

This! I think Celene will be dead in my replay of my Lavellan PT this time around... Maybe. 

Also, as much as I dislike Michel, I hate to admit, he does have a pretty face. (Ugh!)

I don't mind Celene, though I felt a bit odd getting her and Briala back together seeing as she caused the deaths of Briala's parents. Ultimately, though, Orlais is a lot more stable with the both of them so it looks like they bring out the best in each other.

I didn't take kindly to how Michel kept calling Briala (and also Felassan, I think?) "knife ear". And I didn't approve of Mihris calling Solas "flat ear" either but Michel seemed to **** me off more.

That is, in fact, the exact phrase that my Jewish boyfriend used to describe Judaism's holidays to me.  I can't decide if that's brilliant or horrible.  Probably both.

Oh, I will totally admit to being swayed by a pretty face. Michel and Bishop are pretty, so I'm more forgiving of their faults  Which is terribly shallow of me, but it's a video game.  I'm allowed to be shallow from time to time.

 

And I like Michel.  He, Felassan, and Briala were the three characters in TME whom I actually did like.  Celene and Gaspard were interesting, and certainly more nuanced than they came off in DA:I, but I wouldn't exactly say I liked either of them.

Ha! Solas was there and I asked about the virgins anyways just to see what would happen. Couldn't help thinking that good ol' purple!Hawke would've suggested that if Immy didn't have any virgins then he would do just fine. Would've loved to see his reaction to that. I mean, you had the possibility of bedding the Desire Demon in Origins.

Fire and Ice and one of the Cassandra ones!! They were great and yes you should headcanon it that way. We also read Anachronism outloud. With Solas' voice as a nerd and Lavellan as a bro. There was a Trevelyan one we read between her and Solas. We're going to do Empress later, but Carrieli needs to read it first.
