There's a part in Masked Empire where Imshael mentions places the ancient elves once ruled, and he mentions Fereldan, Orlais, and "those bits over to the west".

Oh ****, I forgot about that. What is going on in the west? It is like all the plots are crashing into each other.

I've been really hoping we'd see some sort of elf cult. If the followers of the Forgotten Ones are still active, they would be perfect for that. Which kind of reminds me of the thing Felassan says about Briala not wanting to meet his people. Maybe he isn't an ancient elf, but one of them? Perhaps the Forgotton One cults, which had already been a bit reclusive during Arlathan, were able to keep their lore? Fen'Harel is also considered a Forgotton One, so it stands to reason he'd have some reverence to them as well...

Just musing, but! Yeselfcults.

I know! I just have this fantasy that literally half the cast of Dragon Age is out there(since we know HoF, Solas/Mythal, and lord knows what else) and it's just...they get to the forest and it's completely terrifying and wonderful.  Kal-Sharok is over that way.  DWARVES.  Your Inquisitor goes out there thinking...ok I did the arbor wilds. No big.  WRONG.  You run into stuff that hasn't been touched or seen by humans ever and... I want it so so bad.

"places which the shemlen have not touched"

Ha, I don't remember all that in Last Court. Most of it isn't nearly that interesting, just to warn those of you who are going to get into it now. It's an exercise in frustration most of the time. It was a miracle that I managed to finish with all the good things high and all the bad things low.

That looks wonderful! I am particularly in love with the fur texturing on his shoulder. It looks really soft and wolf-like.

Ooh, very nice! You got his face quite well and I think his is not an easy face to draw well. I could picture this being at the ball and he comes up behind her and embraces her from behind instead of just stepping to her side. Which is much better. Headcanon acquired.  :D

It does get frustrating, but I don't know, I mostly found it addicting. The frustration came from having to wait for the dawn points to recharge so I can play some more, and then my having no clue how to win until a few tries in.

To see all the content you may have to play multiple times.

I had the advantage of playing it before DAI was released so I played it to pass the time. It was also really bugged at that point so I got 100 free dawn point things because of all the glitches.

Speaking of the Forgotten Ones... did anyone post this before? If so, I apologize, I was out of the loop - and out of the forums - for quite some time. That's from "The Last Court".

"Fen'harel when they think all is lost."

I've decided to re-watch Prince of Egypt (again), and I cannot help but associate Moses with Solas. A prince, raised into the life of luxury, hot-blooded and irresponsible, who later became a fighter for freedom of the oppressed. I can totally imagine Solas going all "Let my people go!" against the rest of the pantheon... Alright, this one is just my overactive imagination, but I can't help but see the parallels here.

"This was my home
All this pain and devastation
How it tortures me inside
All the innocent who suffer
From your stubbornness and pride..."

Oh, good, it's not just me.  I've had this song on my Solas playlist forever.

One of my first thoughts was: What if Solas was over *there*, especially in light of the "where was he sleeping" discussion yesterday.  But yeah, this really kicks the door open in a new direction.

Yup, it was intended to be a ball scene. And I do think Solas wouldn't mind wearing fur to this event  ^_^ And I use very heavy reference for his face. His nose is especially tricky.

I still think Felassan's boss was one of the Pantheon. After all, they were trapped in the Fade, while the Forgotten Ones were sealed in the Void, and Felassan had to contact his boss through the Fade.

Edit: The cults keeping their lore though, lmao. The Dalish would be so frustrated. It'll be really interesting to see the other side of the Forgotten Ones vs. Pantheon rivalry though.

Solas wakes up and discovers he has a cult. Probably not the best way to start off the century.

Part of my problem with the Forgotten One lore was that it was so detached from the main story. We have a lot of hints about the elven gods, but very little for the Forgotten Ones. I'm sure it is just a minor mention in the game, but I'm glad they haven't actually been forgotten. If there's some proof that they are still around, or at least, weren't rolled into the Forbidden Ones, then it becomes a lot easier to speculate what their involvement with everything might be.

Still very possible! It just adds in another theory to the mix.

100% agree. Those kind of games are always and excercise in frustration.   I tend to get really annoyed when playing them - I usually have to do so on a couch with a TV show on in the background - but then I usually end up obsessing over the story later.  Which I guess is a good thing.   This one NOT so much, but all the stuff that gets brought up about the weirdness that is "The West" makes me excited.

Edit: so apparently, the Forgotten Ones have their own vallaslin. Which means... what? That they were legitimate members of the pantheon, once? Hm.

Do you think if we use enough dragon blood in the ritual, we'll get a Tirashan/Forgotten Ones/Fen'harel DLC?

Also I would like to make it very clear that the earlier punning digression was all Oxie's fault, and I was ushering a young Uruk into Warchiefdom in Shadows of Mordor when the event took place. So n'yah. :P

Friends, I just went through this race-specific dialogue with Keiran, and instead my hc humorous reply I chose first option. And he answered "I don't know why your people want to look like that". I have no idea, if this has been discussed earlier, but I find Keiran's reply interesting, since it implies, that elves could change their looks once.

They wouldn't be the forgotten ones if we knew much about them  :P

I think it's a pretty safe bet that they're not the forbidden ones.... maybe the shapeless one but not the pushovers we've seen thus far.

Aye, it excites me too! It really gets my need for dark and weird things raging.

And since my Lavellan is me, hers too! She's thinking "arse to the Inquisition! I wanna know whats going down in the West!"

OMG, I don't think I ever saw this while playing Last Court.  That tears it, we've gotta check out the Tirashan.  :D   This is just amazing.  It's out west, and that's where everyone's headed.  Interestingly enough, I recently saw a post that the new WoT vol2 is going to feature new places in Thedas beyond the map we know...  Maybe even further out west?  There's a part in Masked Empire where Imshael mentions places the ancient elves once ruled, and he mentions Fereldan, Orlais, and "those bits over to the west".  Wouldn't it be interesting if the Forbidden Ones' old stomping grounds were still mostly untouched by humans?

Last stop Serault, and what lies beyond?

I'M ALREADY HOURS PAST WHEN I REALLY SHOULD HAVE GONE TO BED STOP THROWING FASCINATING INFORMATION AT ME AND MAKING MY MIND GO INTO OVERDRIVE.

...oh. I only have a page left. I should be okay.

My being bothered by people saying' everyone's heading west!' when really, Solas would only be not heading west if he wanted to walk up and down the Frostback range or head to Ferelden. But ALL OF THESE THINGS.

WEEEEEKES! *shakes fist*

GAAAIDER! *shakes fist*

In this case, DRAGONDREAMER! *shakes fist*
