Yeah, I thought so at first, too, but getting to see it from this angle it looks like he's more like "well, alright." And the way he tilts his head... *fans self*

Thanks to this thread I've started replaying The Last Court.  I've not even met Carver yet and I'm broke, the people are oppressed and there's bandits everywhere.

 

Basically: a normal day in Serault.

So maybe this has already been discussed, but Solas' personal quest that was "unlocked" with patch 3 (for PC) and 4 (XBox/PS4)....

 

Yeah, it was a let down for me, too. I expected more...of anything, I guess (don't want to spoil anyone).

 

I also thought the difficulty was wonky in that I have done it on several characters and could not have predicted who would have difficulty with it.

Oh, Solas. I always thought it was a really quick smooch and then run away, but he turns his head and everything.

 

The first time I played the game, I figured it was my Lavellan who crushed hard on him first, following him all over Haven and pestering him with questions.  The more I see of the flycam stuff and the more I think about it from Solas's perspective...I'm starting to headcanon that he falls for her really early, really hard.  Just his body language around her speaks volumes.

 

Imagine what it must be like for him.  He's just f***ed up massively, again, giving the orb to Corypheus.  On top of the strangeness of modern Thedas and his old grief over the elves, he has to square with this fresh guilt from the destruction of the Conclave.  Then almost out nowhere comes Lavellan.  This strange, bright, beautiful spirit who defies his expectations of the Dalish and actually listens to him.  She might be the first person in years who sees him for who he is, his first friend in ages who isn't a spirit.  How could he not fall in love with her?

 

...and back in the feels hellspiral after that.  Wonderful.

I know I posted this recently, but I just found the image with a text description on tumblr and I just lost it.

 

 

Lets just break this down a sec…

Not ONLY is he apparently smothering your mouth with his lips ( from the angle we were originally given) but, for his first kiss, this guy is so frustrated he must BEND you OVER, forcing you to cling to his body, WHILE riding his thigh! T

his guy made sure you felt EVERYTHING he could possibly do to you, in one fell stroke! 

No wonder your Lavellan looked so..windedO_O before he goes in for a SECOND kiss! 

No wonder he pulled away; Solas was already getting hot and heavy in this fade dream, he just managed to snap out of it in time before things went too far!

It makes me wonder if this was partially the fault of previous fade dreams he may have had about you;

Leading up to this one- then he realizes-

So many moments in that romance seemed so....heated to me. I guess that's why I headcanon that he and Lavellan did the do eventually.

I don't want to romance a Dwarf, but I totally support having a Dwarven love interest who I can flirt with until breaking up at the second occasion.    Bull had many great break up chances, Bull was overall good for breaking up.

 

lol If they ever make Varric romancable, I BEG YOU NOT TO TOY WITH HIS POOR FRAGILE LITTLE HEART! I COULD NOT BARE IT T_T ...on second thought, I probably would like to see that. Sad Varric is adorable (may or may not have killed Hawke on purpose to I could finally hug Varric) ehehe. XD

 

My characters so far probably wouldn't have romanced any of the Dwarf companions either (Purveyor of Teas being the exception. Obviously.) mostly because Solas and Zevran have are my favorites. I definitely feel all those Dwarven lasses are deserving of finally having a romancable Dwarven companion though. And Varric seriously needs a happy romance ending. His is almost more depressing than Solavellan XD

 

And I always pretend to gallantly ignore embarrassing things about others. DA taught me to collect and wait.

 

I can live with that. I think. I'm going to regret this, Aren't I?
