Not going to lie, when I learned about Solas, this is what I wanted him to look like.

 

 

Ever since I learned his name, I have been unable to see Solas in a romantic light. And believe me, I've tried. But if he's anywhere near as awesome as Solus, he'll be a favorite of mine. Afterall, it's not like the Lis have to be your favorite chars anyway.

What is our policy on celebration? If Solas was to be confirmed as an LI, but he isn't bisexual, what's our policy? Can we post celebration gifs? Can we post them behind spoilers? Do you guys want to keep the celebration off this thread for a little while? I honestly want to know, because I'll be celebrating no matter what (Solas gay and gated against everything but dwarves? AWESOME LET'S DANCE) and I don't want to step one anyone's toes. What do you guys want to do?

I say we still celebrate. Having him not be bisexual or end up gated is disappointing but at least he's a choice at all!

I say we still celebrate. Having him not be bisexual or end up gated is disappointing but at least he's a choice at all!

I know that some people like to check the threads on their phones, and that a gif overload can make their mobile devices go nuts. That said, if you're planning on a super amazing gif overload (like I am), I'd put it under spoilers. But yeah, we'll be celebrating no matter what!

Celebration, but with consideration. Basically not going 'HAAAAAH.  YOU DON'T GET THE ELF!' or anything like that.  I saw enough of that in the Cassandra and Sera threads (and both of those ended up locked and cleaned).

Hmm... I don't know.  I don't want to stop people from celebrating as they choose... but, at the same time, I don't want to rub salt in the wound if he winds up straight... Just as I don't want salt rubbed in my wound if he turns out gay.  Personally, if Solas is declared straight, I'll keep those celebratory gifs to myself out of sympathy for our gay Solas-mancer friends.  Maybe spoiler-tagging it would make for a good compromise?  I tend to check this thread on my phone a lot as well, so I would request that be the case regardless (a few per page, my phone can handle - the inevitable gif-crazy happy dance/commiseration party? I shudder to think...)

If that happens to be the case, I would happily play as a male dwarf. At least he would be a romance option, and I would still celebrate! :-)
