Flemeth: "...this hasn't been in style for like 1000 years!!!"

Mythal: "Look, if you want to be taken serious in the Revenge Business, you have to look the part. Dress for the job you want."

But...those hot-as-hell boots?!  I would totally be Flemeth, if the world would let me and I could figure out how to tie my hair up into horns like that, studded leather bustier and all.  And now, Dom!Mythal (DoMythal?!) is a thing for me.  The next time I see Solas all submissive in front of a mirror with her my mind will think naughty, naughty things.

Saetha (my Lavellan) isn't happy.  She's very, very angry and scared to death.  It's only with Solas that she lets down her guard.

I'm never going to get around to it :( My BFF romanced Cullen, and the two of us are basically nerd brain twins.  We've spent so much time in each others' headcanons and worldstates that if I ever did play the Cullen romance with someone other than her Trevelyan, it would feel super weird.  But I can still admire his prettiness.

TOP Solas, looking fine in Warden armor:

Maybe I should romance Cullen....I'll let my heart decide Once I meet blackwall.

In other news the neighbors have been harboring criminals who like to break into people's houses and beat them up, and I'm the only one here. They have dogs and every time they bark I wish I was a mage lol

I didn't give much reference there. lol. Anyway I wish I had magic powers is basically my point.

This is lucky.  My friends are like video games? How do they work?  When they do play  it's mostly drunk and Mario Kart.  Which is fine.  I tried to get my more inclined friend into Dragon Age over Christmas.  She's still at Ostagar, so I don't think I'll ever get her to DA:I when it will matter. I NEEDED SOMEONE TO SHARE MY PAIN.

This is almost a mirror of my experience, only my friend barely scratched the character creator (before going to play Hatoful Boyfriend instead). I do have a male friend who enjoys Solas and knows the ending, but ...he refers to him as my "egg elf," so it's not really the right sort of commiseration.  I'm very happy this thread is as good as it is.

Due to my crippled imagination, I find it almost impossible to picture Lavellan a sword-and-shield warrior type. And are there some lore restrictions for specializations? I mean, Dalish templar? Really?

That's how my sister and I are . . . her Queen Cousland, Anders-romance Hawke, and Cullen-romance Trevelyan are as canon to me as my own characters. I have a hard time playing similar characters as a result.

You know I've been wondering about that for a while. I understand using the techniques to level magic, but when I played as a Trevelyan Templar, it still all felt very... Chantry, if that makes sense. The other two specializations aren't too bad, but I wonder whether there's dialogue that addresses this.

I actually can't imagine ever taking that spec for roleplay reasons with ANY inquisitor. It just seems foolishly reckless after hearing what Cullen went through.

Alistair went through templar training without being addicted to lyrium. He told HoF, that lyrium merely enhances templr's abilities, not grants them

It's just the nature of elves' relationship with the fade and magic that doesn't add up with this spec. According to Cole templars do something unnatural when they repel magic. So, in my opinion, picking this particular specialization would not very lore-wise

To be fair, Inquisition Templars are more like Seekers. The abilities are entirely for hunting demons, not other mages. A Dalish warrior could totally be all for hunting demons, but Bioware should have named the specialization something other than "Templar."

Same here!

I keep meaning to get around to it too, but since I don't play humans, that leaves Lavellan. And it's nearly impossible not to romance Solas with a Lavellan. ><

As an additional note. I hope we get other specializations in future DLC. I want my Shapeshifter or Keeper spec.

I definitely am stretching it -  by the time you get to specializations Lavellan has been there for some time.  She's fought with Cassandra and trained with Cullen's men.  She may be intrigued by their skills.

At the end of the day, though, the warriors get a pretty nice flirt line. And isn't that what we're all here for????

I was tempted to make my character a templar. I would have to partner up with Cass, and to give a sort of theme of inevitability for his fate since he fought that all his life, but meh, champion's a lot better anyway, and **** that, my inquisitor is no chantry ******.

I'd stick to reaver for a lavellan warrior. That's what I'm picking, and the elf that comes in to teach that to you makes it seem appropriate.

That is a good point, and I agree. Perhaps it would have been best to come up with another name. Since the Inquisitor never actually enters an organization or takes vows in order to use the skills, it wouldn't have been too hard; though, when you spec as Templar, your trainer actually tries to get you to train more via the war table. Cullen's option turns this down, so perhaps it was merely used to further that part of his personal story.
