But PAX East is coming up.
*lip wobbles*
But PAX East, Flabbadence!
*cries*
Eh, what's a month

I am desperately holding on to the hope that we'll get either Inquisition DLC information or MENext information at PaxEast, and more of either or both at E3. They cancelled Shadow Realms, after all.
I hope that means they're focusing more resources on ME, DA, and this mysterious new IP of theirs.
I AM IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION!

anybody wants to share their Solavellan playlists?
I'm drawing but I need some music that goes well with it and I'm tired of listening to the DAI OST for the millionth time xD

I'm hesitant over ME4
. But DA and that new modern IP I'm really looking forward to

I don't really have a Solavellan playlist. I just listen to Solavellan mixes on 8tracks. What atmosphere do you need?
Mmmh, mostly something sad I guess ![]()

That's too bad. I was looking forward to that one. Though I'm sort of partial to the modern, horror/fantasy setting. I loved The Secret World. Too bad that game is an MMO, it would have been great as a single-player series.

I must confess, when you mentioned wearing a "full face makeup" (or similar) I had expected something less pretty. People I know with a full face makeup tend to use... more colors.
...and here comes an awkward moment when I realize that most of the sad songs I listen to when I am drawing... are japanese ![]()

Most of my happy musics are Gregorian chants, in either Medieval Latin or Greek...
And some of my sad songs are in Sindarin, I think, so you're not that bad. ![]()
Is it sad that I never even heard of Shadow Realms until it was cancelled? Was that the game with the kids all finding out they had a power in those weird trailers from this fall?
Yes and yes. ![]()
EDIT: As for music, I've been slowly digging through the songs Lizasaurus listed off earlier.
Crystal Castles is certainly...interesting. ![]()
Poets of the Fall always makes me...bittersweet isn't the word. Happy melancholy? Soft despair?
Gentle sad panda-face? 'The Poet and the Muse' always makes me think of the lake in the Hinterlands, for some bizarre reason. *shrug*

I also have a few Chinese songs. And there was that Russian song that made me think of Solavellan...
/roughly translated part/
"I don't want to see those dreams
I don't want to see this beauty
In my dream, we are going to be together
But in the morning - where are you?
And I won't be able to breathe again
I cannot, I am not ready
I don't want to see those dreams
Please, no more dreams..."
I don't mean that the origins of the blight is literally the use of blood magic, but that this is how it was originally spread. I do think that it may have altered it though, but beyond that, no. I'm still of the thought that it is something native to old gods.
Maybe, I guess it depends. The Blight usually behaves more like an illness than a curse... Even if it might as well be both.
The thing with the griffons and the blood magic is bugging me because I can almost see a connection with how it might work with how the well of sorrows and other elven geas' might work. And the implications...but trying to fit pieces in a puzzle without a picture is so frustrating.

Wha, that was cancelled? I remember all the excitement over that.

Aww, I wonder what happened. It looked like a neat superhero game.
Oh I've got you covered.

Sounds nice though I have no idea what they are saying but the part you translated fits so well!

Listen to Jesper Kyd's Assassin's Creed soundtracks. Plenty of sad there, and exciting if you wanted. They're great imagination boosters.
Maybe the blight is itself a...entity or something. It was always there, but maybe it's discovery caused it to start infecting everything? Or maybe the blight -is- the void.
I'm kinda in the camp of the Blight being some natural force in the cosmology. Like magic entropy. If it has some creepy consciousness of its own, I imagine it's something like the anti-Maker, it's silent, and we'll probably never really know.

Reminds me of the Flood from Halo. All the floodlings being controlled by the Overmind, and the Overmind is the Flood.
Mass Effect is dead to me. I'm putting all my futuristic vidya hopes into Fallout 4 and CDPR's cyberpunk game.
As for Solavellan songs, here's one that fits even though I bet it isn't on many playlists.
