5'2" here, so I guess I'm....a dwarf? 

I always thought that elves were more slight than humans, but not much shorter. So...maybe avg height of 5'4" compared to human avg of 5'6" for women? 

Then you have lady Adaar at 6'0".

I'm terrible at using this measuring method anyway, since I'm from Germany. But isn't 5'3'' very short, compared to Solas? I always thought she must be at least 5'5'' - so a bit smaller than a human, but not terribly so.

Unfortunately the many short people in life make use of me as a retriever. I'm always confused as to how they got the damn things up there in the first place if they can't even reach the cupboard door...

You know what, I think I'm going to peg Solas at around 5'9. Tall for an elf but still shorter than the human men by my guesses. Abelas is probably tipping over 6 feet. He looked really tall in game if I remember correctly.

I'm taller than someone, yay! I'm like a tiny dwarf, especially for European or German standards. Even my grandma is taller than me. The doctors thought I would end up being around 1.70 meters tall. Well, they were around 14cm short, that can happen... ._.

I love high heels simply because they make me taller. I feel empowered by imagining that my Lavellan is taller than me, though. xD At least in my games I can be a taller person...

All those Sentinel Elves were super tall. I went and stood next to them in-game and they were gigantic! Well, in the tall and skinny sense. Even towered over Dorian, so I guess ancient Elves were quite tall and possibly taller than humans.

I wonder if modern elves are short only because they have poor diets, dalish or city. And the reason Sera is slightly taller than an elf inquisitor is because she was adopted into comfort while she was still young.

After much lurking, I have decided to actually log in and finish setting up a forums account. I finished the game a couple of weeks ago and have been essentially all over the internet and watching videos and engaging in discussions and looking for art and writing. You all understand this need. Plus, Solas is just a great character, made even more layered by having my poor Lavellan get her heart broken.

I find it interesting there's a height discussion since I was wondering that myself. I don't really see my Lavellan as taller than around 5'3"ish, especially in my mind since she's a rogue. She's small and squirrelly.

 

Solas does seem on the taller side for elves, but it also sort of depends on what posture he's taking too when comparing to other characters.
