Wait so its really pushed back?   That sucks, though I guess it's good that they aren't rushing it....

Are they going to make an announcement about it?

 

They should definitely tell us the last LIs now to make up for it XD

I remember that a while ago, somebody speculated that DAI was going to end up being pushed back to early 2015.

 

That's actually kind of plausible now, I think. I mean, I want the game to be as good and polished as possible but all the torturous waiting

Well... That's disappointing. Though I'm with everyone else in that I'd prefer to wait and get a better game out of it...

Bioware REALLY needs a good reception for this game, considering DA2 (which I personally loved) and ME3's ending fiasco, so with that in mind I'm 100% completely okay with this being delayed. More time for polishing, more time for bug squashing, and MOST importantly, more time for the devs to get things done and NOT kill themselves by overworking to death. I can guarantee they are probably exhausted, and this gives them a little more wiggle room to get things done.

 

The wait sucks for sure, but lets try and be positive about this. Everyone wins in the end, and we'll be glad this happened when the game comes and is A-MAZING.

Okay, I am really behind on the thread, but I just want to toss out a thought regarding race-gating. If I remember the tweets correctly (sorry I have no links right now), their concern for equity was more regarding available options for genders/sexuality, but not necessarily for genders/sexuality + race. Even with the new posts that DG posted in the Romance thread (which I honestly take as nothing more than "here is our process, and here is the current situation based on the known LI's"....meaning he can't speak further until PR has made new announcements), I would still say that the gender/sexuality will most likely balance out.

What they won't worry about providing equal balance for, is "also" race. So having said that, it actually makes the most sense to have all Bisexual LI's (and I suspect Viv and one of our male companions yet to be announced *pleasebeSolas*) to be unrestricted for race. This would automatically allow for every straight and gay/lesbian player, to have 2 options with gender/sexuality/race (since there would be a total of 4 Bi LI's). Which seems to be the implication of some of those tweets and posts from the devs.

Hence, I suspect that the two gated will be from the four other set LI's, already announced (Cullen/Cassandra and Dorian/Sera). I also suspect it won't be a case of two that are gated towards all but *insert race here*. Instead, it will most likely be one race (maaaaaybe two), and be very story specific.

That is just my theory....

I'd rather have a delay than a buggy early release. A month is better than a Duke Nukem Forever fiasco. Is anyone else here getting Destiny on Xbox One? I'll probably be playing that once it comes out.

Maybe given the delay we'll get new info?
