I picked that name because I wanted something related to my culture.'Tala' is the goddess of the stars in Philippine mythology and her name also means "bright star" in Tagalog. If ever I make a tarot card for my Lavellan, I'd probably use The Star tarot card as a basis for the design.
I find it interesting that her name has other meanings in different languages. Apparently it means "palm tree" in Arabic and "gold" in Persian.

We were all worried for her when she was pregnant with Maddox because my brother was 12 lbs 15 Oz born and we thought Maddox would be that big too. He wasnt and she's glad.
I'm 5'2", but my brother is 6'3", my dad's 6'2" and my mom's 5'8". So guys. I got the short end of the stick. Ha-ha-ha.

That would make Morrigan older than Calin. I got the impression Morrigan was meant to be early 20's in DAO.
I was wondering today about Lyrium and the Blight. I don't know if any of you clever clogs have discussed anything like this already, but since lyrium can get the Blight, can creatures from the Fade get corrupted too? Could you end up with, say, a blighted pride demon? They are technically alive and I'm pretty sure that's the only prerequisite.
It could end with the Fade itself being corrupted (because I've been up since 4am and that sounds like a reasonable idea right about now), would that give mages crazy blight powers? But I suppose since magic isn't alive (or is it?) I guess all the mages would just turn into emissaries and now I'm confusing myself.
What do you folks think?

I remembered seeing the Native American meaning of the name too when I was looking up on the name to check if it had other meanings. I was amused when I saw that it also meant "wolf". And I looked up on this after I ended the game. xD What a coincidence.

I am also currently writing a thing. It is... probably pretty poorly written to say the least, but it will be my first fanfic contribution to the Solavellan universe. Also, the idea is possibly stupid. But it seemed cute this morning...

I think the line from Kieran was about the vallaslin (cuz slave markings), but yeah, I think the elves were originally more spirit-y. Maybe the original elves were manifested spirits like Cole, but in any case, I tend to lean towards the idea that elves naturally have a half physical/half spirit nature, and that's the key behind a lot of the wonkiness going on with them. There's a codex where Cory apparently tells one of his elven slaves that the ancient elves were tied to the Fade, and that's why the magisters prefer to use elven slaves for blood magic rituals, since they still have a lot of that magic dormant in the blood or something.
The idea that they could be bound is creepy (I've wondered about Solas' wolfjaw talisman now and then), but there's evidence of uthenera existing prior to the elven gods being locked away. That's also more of a "going into the Fade" sort of thing, and their bodies can actually die if they stay there too long. The elves ended up becoming mortal, so they ended up with more of a human Cole option on a mass scale.

She'd have to be 35 at the time of Origins for her to have been born from Flemeth and Maric's meeting, as that takes place shortly after Moira's assassination, yes?

I think 30 is too old. I thought she was intended to be around 25ish. The 'she 19' thing comes from people misunderstanding her description in the toolset. It's been awhile since I had the toolset on my PC so I can't remember exactly what it said, though.

I honestly would picture him 5 feet 7 inches or a little shorter... ö.ö cause I think 5'10 is too tall.. I am personally 5f6inch

*cries* Writing stuff about people being naked is apparently impossible for me to do while my husband has friends over. I thought I would be able to finish this tonight and simply edit tomorrow. I have so little left to go... but no. It is nearly 3AM and I don't think my husband's friend will be leaving any time soon. The rest will just have to wait until tomorrow.
