Kind of shocks me how many people think that an extra month means the "quality" of the game is going to go down over in the Scuttlebutt thread. Game development doesn't work like that x_x Boggles the mind

 

Ah well. Hopefully they'll release the remaining LI information soon to offset disappointment!.....please? 

Vey true. I always saw games like Watch Dogs being devoloped normally. It was just the marketing side of it manipulating customers into thinking the game quality was better than it actually was. For Inquisition it seems like thay are showing us what we are actually going to get. They even alllowed some of the public to see the bugs in their game like the characters clipping into the dragon and other things like that. I am confident that this game is going to be made better for letting the developers have 42 more days. A lot can get done in 42 days. As others said though it's a shame that people scheduled vacation time for this game. I imagine some workplaces will not let you move those vacation days. I have waited for this game since around the time it was announced. A month means nothing to me.  I just hope that this is enough time and that they don't over it back any further.

November release now, kind of what I was originally expecting.  Busy season for me at work but it will just make the time I get to play all the sweeter.  One thing I think we all tend to forget is that a game goes "gold" (no more changes to be made) a few weeks before it ships.  That means that with the October 7 release date the devs were pushing a "gold" date on a game that had barely gone alpha and they are working with a new engine. 

 

Hugs for the devs for all the extra hours and hard work they are putting in.  I have no problem with the delay.  Hopefully it will let these guys (and gals) get some sleep, at least once in a while. 

 

Still hoping for Solas as a LI, but he will be awesome no matter what.

Before I got all bummed about the delayed release date, I was coming in to say hello to all the wonderful peoples in the Solas thread & to add my two cents on the LI debate.

 

Let's assume Vivenne is one of the two remaining LI, to balance out the gender ratio. (sorry, for anyone that was hoping for two male options) Now we're at 5 humans to romance and two non-humans. Ideally, this means the last spot has to be non-human to avoid gender bias. (sorry, Blackwall fans) So, this puts it down to Varric or Solas. I'll admit that I'm a Solas fan, but also wouldn't be disappointed with a bit of rogue action However, I'm inclined to believe there is no ambiguity to David's statement "Varric loves Bianca. Full stop." (sorry, Varricmancers)

I picked quite a day to check the forum from the happy bubble of my vacation. 

 

I have zero complaints with the delay, since we all know they're busting their butts to get us an amazing game ASAP.  I'm sure they're exhausted, and equally sure that the game will be better for the extra time they need to take with it.  But I still feel like I need to roll around in my misery a little bit today because I just REALLY WANT TO PLAY IT.  Plus the original release date fit perfectly into my plans to become one with my couch for a few weeks after my next deadline.

 

Maybe if we make enough offerings to the devs (cookies, tears, items containing large amounts of caffeine) we can at least get the final LI confirmations before the forums collapse in on themselves and/or my head bursts into flames from overthinking who they might be. Maybe? PLEASE?

I've got the same problem. It's going to be difficult asking for time off in November when we'll be shutting down for the holidays half way through December.

Given that Solas' ability to pull information out of the Fade isn't entirely accurate perhaps he has the same problem we're having?
