K, I know a lot of you might not, but they certainly deserve it just for sheer stupidity and giving the rest of the mages a bad name...

 

The dude with the terrible moustache deserved it. He's the reason I always let Solas kill them.

Yes. I think killing them was wholly unnecessary. I am sure there are other instances where anger gets the best of him... But at the moment I can't think of any.

 

I think that's the only instance where anger gets the best of him though. He got angry with the Wardens, but he didn't let that overtake him. He can get angry with the Inquisitor too, but that scene didn't strike me as him being wrathful.

 

On the other hand, we see lots of examples of him being proud (sometimes too much for his own good). We see it in his banters, with Vivienne and Dorian specifically. We see it in his hatred for ignorance, and his racism, and even his posture.

I am not so sure. Yes, it is grief of course, but that's the shallow answer. Not everybody goes on a killing spree when grieving. I felt he could not understand their mistake was ignorance, fear, weakness. He would not act like that (probably) and he sees himself as the moral authority, the one being able to decide what is good or evil. I felt that was why he acted like that, because he decided they had been evil and decided they deserved death. That's pride for me, not being able to step back and look at a situation through the eyes of somebody else.

I see your point. 

 

And, yes, I believe the mages acted out of ignorance (they did not appreciate that a spirit has a self and can be a reasonable being) and fear, they were in dire circumstances, their lives were at stake... And this should have been taken into account.

I thought it was because he got in a fight with a follower and then told his followers to essentially yell at her - or just passively aggressively tell her 'have a nice day'.  She had like 100 followers and he has like several thousand so the girl was sort of dogpiled by rabid Cullen fans. 

 

I only saw that on a tumblr and was like 'who cares about Greg Ellis.  MORE ABELAS FANFICS DAMMIT'.  Twitter wars are for fools.
