Bedding the penitent choir boy is still the highlight of my Hawke's career as Champion of Kirkwall. Thank you for reminding me.
It's about time someone did, lol.

This was a bit back but I have to say I disagree with this. Yes, Solas is prideful but I don't think everything he does is because of pride. These mages just killed a very old and very good friend. He was seeing red, the way most people would be seeing red. I'm not sure pride had much to do with it. He was getting his rage on, and to his credit all you had to do was say his name to get him to back off. I think he realized that he was going to kill these mages in a moment of passionate anger and that there was no other purpose to it than pointless vengeance, so you remind him of it and he stops.
If that's pride, then I'd say every single person in that situation would be prideful. I sure as heck wouldn't be thinking about someone's motivation if...
Fair enough. My problem with the "he was just in rage" argument lies plainly in the fact that back as Skyhold he will either be annoyed at you because you did not allow him to kill them or not show any remorse. So it is not only the rage of the moment, some blood-tinted distortion, instead it is a calm conviction that they deserved death. I might be mistaken, of course, this is just how I see it.
I would not kill anybody, I am sure, not even think about it. Just... Batman. And I usually try to do just that, understand motivations and reasons before judging. es, I do this deliberately and sometimes it is hard, but I still try. And I actually think many people do that,
However, I don't really want to argue about this because we could both be right and these missions are meant to be controversial, there is no right or wrong in the first place.
Am I the only one who doesn't want their Lavellan to do Abelas?
He's great but I hope he finds love elsewhere! Unless I play a Lavellan that romanced nobody. Then she can get with him without all the Solas rebound stuff.
Oh god... I have no idea. It was just an idea we threw around. Hell, maybe we'd focus on romances that weren't available. Like.. Ser Gilmore. Abelas. Dagna. Harding. Sten. Nathaniel. Feynriel. Although his would probably end with him being possessed by a demon and painting the doors of the city with your blood.
I dunno. Again. Graduate school. Can't do that quite this minute! Besides, I'd probably have to do it for free and STILL get a cease and desist from EA/ Bioware.
Urgh Nathaniel. I recently played a Warden who didn't romance anyone and I so badly wanted her to be with Nathaniel T_T
Uhhh....things are getting hot and heavy around here. I like. You guys are my kind of crowd.
Even without the cartoon I had to laugh out loud (I might be thrown out of here shortly).
I only love you, you know, I am just playing along. *hush*
Besides I've always picked Alistair, so it seems Colonel and me is not meant to be.
(About tumblr, thank you Avejajed. What about the others of you? You surely have your art up there somewhere at least. Pretty please?)
Yiiiis, mine's here
I'll put it in my sig.

I don't, but I'm not sure mine counts? Lol.

No Ryn, no you're not, I'm very much not on the Abelas..whatever vehicle it is.

My Lavellan is probably better single, but Solas's romance is to interesting not to indulge in ![]()
It's about time someone did, lol.
He stood no chance against my incredibly convincing thighs with a +5 andrastian defilement enchantment.
And honestly? I don't see anything wrong with loving someone else after someone leaves you. That's... normal? Natural? Healthy? Solas certainly isn't the first man my Lavellan loved or will ever love. Especially since he, you know, left. Hearts mend. Some faster than others. That's just how it works!
I also don't believe in soul mates but souls you CHOOSE. So... maybe that makes me unromantic? Sorry guys!
((I'll go back to riding my Abelas thigh muscle car in silence))

Abelas is fine and his thighs could crush a watermelon, but yeah I don't want my Lavellan romancing him nor do I see him as romanceable material beyond fandom fun. I can see an unromanced Zevran popping in and trying to make her smile with his flirting and smut XD But I don't think my Lavellan would be able to be with anyone for a long, long time.
Are you suggesting he will burn the house you lie in as a burst of fiery passion?! Horrifying and enduring!

Indeed it is very normal, even if someone leaves when it wasn't entirely their choice, which happened with my character and Cass, even though he loved someone prior.
I don't see anything wrong with Lavellan moving on, even if they rekindle things later. I'm glad mass effect let you do this, though I personally stayed loyal and ignored ME 2 chicks on my canon runs.

My Lavellan doesn't want to get with Abelas either. She's still very much in love with Solas, and she doesn't need or want to get into another relationship while there's still Inquisiting to do while looking for him in the meanwhile.
I wouldn't mind getting with Abelas though ![]()
I need a new signature.
I should work on those solas banners.

Abelas strikes me as a bit too similar to Solas for my Lavellan. So I headcanon him with her cousin
There are three of them around the same age, her and her two cousins. The idea is that any one of them could have wound up being sent to the Conclave and becoming Inquisitor; as luck (or bad luck) would have it, it was Clariel who went.
I kind of like the idea of her falling in love with someone more normal if she moves on from Solas. Maybe Ser Barris, he's cuuuuuute ![]()

I ditched Boy Scout Kaidan for Space Batman Garrus as soon as possible. I road THAT ship straight into the Krogan Adoption Agency.

Well Solas and friends go around killing people every day so it's not quite a real world reaction equivalent. I wouldn't kill someone, but I also don't live in the DA universe where I just killed 500 people yesterday like the Inquisitor and pals do. I also don't think not forgiving them or not regretting their deaths has to do with pride. Ruthlessness perhaps, but pride is a stretch. Besides, it's not like it's been long enough at that point that the pain isn't still raw.
We'll have to agree to disagree.
Someone let me know when we're past the smut (no hurry, really.) because I want to talk about Dryads.
I wouldn't be opposed to more James Deen though.

That... wasn't what I was going for. That'd make for an interesting story though
