With the whole Hedge Mage thing, given that Vivienne and Dorian are more interested in politics I wonder if Solas will be a little disappointed that people who trained in magical institutions don't seem interested in furthering their knowledge?

I wonder if they are as against it in Tevinter as in the circles, though. I would think they might end up a bit more interested. It seems like they're much more free with their research. The circle is much more staunch and dogmatic about how they do things, is my impression. I feel like Tevinter would be mostly about results. They might not advise it, but if there are proven results, I think they might take interest.

That's true, Gaider did stress very hard that everything had to be a specific way there. I imagine your tutor (like Dorian had Alexius) being a name matters, and such.

I pre-ordered months ago after I won a monetary prize that covered the cost of the Pointless Tchotchke Edition of DAI (which I want for the tarot cards alone). I know I'll play the hell out of the game, even if it's mediocre, so it's not so much a victory for BW marketing as much as it's me giving into the inevitable.

I pre-ordered the deluxe edition a while back.  I never pre-order anything anymore, but I felt good about it this time around.  Also, Red Hart.
