Ah **** it, everyone here knows I like it, I can't even lie, tbh Screw it, no shame. A bit more pornographic than what I look for, but I am a dude after all...
I know... I kind of regret posting that here now. D: Maybe I should just edit my original post and leave it as a link or something. For the sake of others.

So can you say that you have been...converted? You want some of that fine ass Elven Glory? You want your inner Fade tingled by The Dread Wolf? Well, Conan...you may try to deny it but we know you want to hear that wolf howl.

I meant VICARIOUSLY!

Just slap a very NSFW tag on it I'll stand with you and we can be embarrassed together, lol.
So something for all of you theorists out there! I found this in The Fade and it is rather curios and I think you guys know why I may find it relevant to Solas.
heh I remember coming across that and almost hearing the Dun Dun DUUUUUNNNNN! in my head.
I had Solas with me. He says nothing, of course, being the inscrutable egg that he is... :/
No judgement, it's all speculation at this point. May as well try it out and see what happens. People generally just pay attention to the theories they personally find interesting, not so much if they actually make sense, so keep that in mind. It's always like that, especially in the Elder Scrolls.
Lol, I'll try to articulate my theories into words at some point. I know I posted some theories before and they were pretty well supported.
This is so different when you look at it with knowledge of the truth. Whoa.
Like, that is genuinely creepy and possibly foreshadowing now instead of just 'crazy whispers of red lyrium driving everyone mad'.
Yeah, it is pretty unsettling. I am actually creeped out as well. I think that this codex may really be telling us to get our **** together, for someones or somethings are done waiting.
You guys, I have something VERY interesting to share with you all. That is assuming this hasn't come up in this thread before (but, I don't think it has).
Did any of you Solasmancers notice a blip of light flash on your screens right before the epilogue (Solas & Flemeth) of the game? This is something I think is strictly shown to those who romance Solas because the first time I played, I romanced Cullen and didn't see this bizarre little post-credits blip.
Anyway, someone on Tumblr recorded this blip and was able to take a screen capture of what it was, although it was very dark and had to be lightened a bit in Photoshop. Check under the cut for the image. (The Tumblr post is here)

While I had to take a few minutes to calm down after reading this, because oh my god my Lavellan was there, I really think this doesn't mean Lavellan witnessed the Dread Reveal. It's just a matter of cinematics.
Ermm... how to explain this...
The way cutscenes work in DAI, they're not separate from the main game. It's different from earlier games, like FFX for example, where if you have a cutscene, the main game's replaced by this sort of video clip that's rendered separately, which lets the cutscenes be much more stylized and fluid than the limited pixelated art of the actual game.
To make it clearer, just compare FFX's visuals during actual gameplay:
and during cutscenes:
In DAI, this doesn't happen. During cutscenes, we're not cut off from the main visual thread. Instead, we just have animations and camera angles working some magic, as you see in flycam clips.
And the way the camera works in DAI, I think, is it's automatically centered to the Inquisitor at the start of every scene, be it during a cutscene or when we're able to control the Inquisitor. That's what the black loading screen's for: to render the scene you're in first, and then to switch the camera angle to where it's supposed to be before starting the scene for the player (which I figured out because my PC's so slow that sometimes the loading screen lets up before the scene's finished rendering). This means that for every cutscene we see in DAI, the IQ has to be there, at least at the start, because that's just the way the camera works.
I, hope that made sense.

lol A lot of the theory crafting in the Elder Scrolls makes you want to cause a dragon break just to make the headaches stop (or not have existed or w/e @_@). A lot of the DA stuff I've seen is fairly easy to follow.
Deciding whether to scrap new Lavellan because the hair is bothering the crap out of me.
Spoiler
The black hair issue strikes again. If it's not blue, it's shining gray like her eyes. My PC can't run high meshes but still...
Also, I am totally going for the angry breakup response this time (he looks sooooooo sad during that one). I'm already talking sternly to my screen whenever Solas tells me half truths.

Lol I know I myself wrote a ton on it....

My essay on the Daedric Lords and how they truly came about to be thanks to Lorkhan's actions and his death:
Sorry to interrupt the discussion. Just caught up.
There is an explanation for why they are pigeons but I really suggest you play the game to get the whole story. And yes, they are dateable. The game allows you to see how each dateable pigeon/bird looks like as a human but only when you are first introduced to them. After the initial introduction, it's pigeon/bird portraits all the way! xD
Here are your dateable pigeon boys with human portraits:
Spoiler
Some of the stories are real tearjerkers while at least one of them is pretty disturbing. The game does have some very dark moments. I won't say which ones just in case you'd like to play it yourself. And if you do play it, I suggest you try to unlock the bonus storyline. You'll never look at the game the same way again.

As for the discussion on whether we want Lavellan to move on with Abelas, even though I personally am very attracted to Abelas (dem thighs, ooh!) I don't think my Tala would go for him. She's still in love with Solas and I see her more as the type to bury herself in her work to keep her mind off the pain rather than finding a rebound. I'd even see her staying single for quite a while. And I usually play characters who stay loyal to their LIs.
This pigeon boy thing is blowing my god damned mind. I don't even know what to do with the knowledge that such a thing exists, but... I feel like maybe I have no choice but to play it. o_o I'm already regretting this decision.
What about Canadian tv shows?
Most are very...borrowed...from our neighbours to the south...
Shh, shh. Nobody outside of Canada needs to know that our TV is 90% borrowed garbage. (The 10% is Trailer Park Boys and hockey.)
Should not have watched short. Should not have.
I desperately want to watch this, but it is late, dark, and I'm up alone and have a massively overactive imagination and dreamscape. What happens?
We come across a great many deal of interesting things and Solas rarely comments, he only makes Cole forget.
Well, if nothing else, that codex tells us the ones awakening are hostile. Cus that was hostile. lol They stopped just short of adding, "We will find you and we will kill you." at the end.
Pretty much confirms Cole is right when he says Solas was right in that banter they had about sealing the gods away. Only thing I see a problem with is Solas not killing them outright and instead leaving them to fester like a sore for however long they manage to stay sealed. But maybe there is some reason he can't kill them.

Oho, that image would indeed help me sleep... so many vhenans...
Solas doesn't have virgins waiting for him up at The Golden City. He has about a million vhenans waiting for him.
LOL
I'm with you there!
Yeah, we're screwed. Screwed. Screwed. Screwed. Screwed. And completely and utterly screwed.

Lol
Well, clearly he is pissed off about the Wardens trying to kill them and that codex relates to the Old Gods or perhaps the Elven Gods as well. So I think there is definitely a connection. There are two Archdemons left, right? And I think one is right under the Western Approach.

Play it! Trust me, you won't regret it! It's actually well-written and you do get attached to the characters. I managed to convince my sister to play it (and she doesn't even play dating sims) and she spent the whole day trying to complete the game, getting all the endings, and unlocking and ending the bonus storyline.
And unlike some other dating sims, it doesn't take that long to end each of the pigeon's stories. The bonus storyline is pretty long though, but for me, that is the icing on the cake.

Well he tried to save them, according to Cole, so if they have become corrupted, it's probably just one more unintentional effect he has caused through his efforts.
Maybe he tried to save them by temporarily locking them away until he could find some sort of solution that ensured everyone's safety, freedom, well-being etc. And didn't before his long nap/lack of power.
I think Wisdom's fall thanks to the ignorance and arrogance of these petty shemlen trying to survive for a few more years was the straw that broke the camel's back. Stupid mortals that know nothing of spirits or the Fade, but claiming to be experts and lecturing a god on arcane knowledge.
So... pride after all?
I'm not saying he did not have a point to be mad. But that does not mean to... though, maybe we should no go there. This is basically the death sentence debate, only in a video game. Does not make it any different though. There's two positions and you usually pick one. There's no "We could kill him just a little, to make him see the error of his ways?"
I acknowledge that there are many reasons to end a life, and I still think it's not right and that there's always another way.
Also killing is so simple and does not help anyone. Have somebody make up for what he id, or suffer if you like, but killing is done in a second and after that it's only emptiness. What is the gain? Further fueling the darkness, that's all I see as a result.

Okay, you've convinced me. I'll do it. I suppose if I'm to try a dating sim, one where I'm dating some pigeons is probably the most sensible option. What's it called again? "Fall in Love With a Pigeon Boy"? *brainmelt*
