So apparently when I'm already tired caffeine just makes my thoughts largely verbal, as opposed to the usual late-night game of floating clouds of syllables, images, and the occasional bit of cartographic erotica neon signs.
From what I've been told, giving me coffee in the morning is the equivalent of injecting an obnoxious cocktail of heroin into a drunken Martin Freeman's eye. With gesticulating and managing to draw out precise maps in half the usual time.
Not those exact words, obviously, but you get the gist.
This week should be the week I actually take the time to begin writing the DA fanfiction. It's morphed into a series of one-shots that focus on the villains and the Inquisition as a whole, I think. We'll see. My stories are either meticulously constructed, and have multiple layers of history, mythology, and hidden machinations that the reader only puts together many pages later, or they're written and re-written en masse in between paragraphs.
How does this "be-ta read-er' thing work, anyhow? Do I just throw darts and whoever gets an unsightly scar gets thrown to the Word document, or is it more of a raffle?
