Knight enchanter almost doesn't need anyone else!
Admittedly though, I miss the old arcane warrior spec. Where you wore armor and used a sword and magic. I like the concept of a magic blade, but not too thrilled with how it actually looks and plays ingame.

We were just talking about this the other day. I'm pretty sure Abelas is a TRUE arcane warrior. I wish I could dual wield??? magic and a sword or something and wear full plate. Ugh. My tiny Lavellan would look f-ing majestic. I would play a mage then. I pretty much only play rogues.

Do you want it to look more elfy? I remember someone saying that before. Would be cool to decide what it looks like. I liked the arcane warriors too, but hated having to sheathe my weapons to cast a spell.
Knight enchanter's just so much more fun... zipping around people, slashing them away like a Reaver. Or whatever those badass demon guys are called with the sword and shield. My favorite variant of demon.
Yess. Arcane warriors were so cool. I personally tend to just headcanon my girl behaving more like one, rather than the giant claymore lightsaber thing.

Doesn't need to look elfy! I would just rather it be more of a one handed blade. You are still essentially a mage, so I would think one of your hands should be free for casting spells. Use either a normal blade you augment with magic, or you make a spellblade out of your will.

I wouldn't mind KE keeping the staff if we could hit people with it.
...Actually now that I think about it a bladed staff that could be used both for melee and as a magical focus would make more sense than the spirit blade lightsaber.

I would accept bladed staff! Basically a polearm with all the blades you stick on it. Ideally you should have a choice. The appeal of a spellblade is being a mage that goes into melee territory, usually wearing medium or heavy armor.

There's always the little blade add-on to the staves, but I find them a bit haphazard. What if you stab yourself in the foot or something, you know?
Well...I finished DAO again. I would really like to play my Lavellan again but her nose just bothers me..so I'm waiting very impatiently for The Black Emporium. It will probably be a while...a month or two..for the PC testing before it comes out on XBox or PS....aaaaahhh!! *twitches*
