ABOUT TIME!
You asked for a nude. YOU ARE GETTING AN ART HISTORY LESSON.
NSFW Lavellan if art history offends you.

Gatsi has a great explanation of this piece for you:
When Inquisitor Lavellan liberated the slaves of Tevinter and made Dorian Pavus Archon, he commissioned a portrait of her and the head of her elite ancient elvhen forces, Abelas. It now hangs in glory at 20 feet in height in the grand hall of the Magisterium.
The Odalisque style was chosen by Lavellan herself specifically for the irony - odalisque paintings typically represent the lowest members of society on display for the spectator. Her choice highlights the paradox of Tevinter’s fall to an army led by the very race it subjugated for years and claimed to have destroyed. Moreover, it was a deliberate act to negate the claims that the Inquisitor/ Herald of Andraste was the sweet, virginal bride of the Maker in one fell swoop.
As an art historian, I can state with absolute certainty this was meant as an incredibly unsubtle “**** you” to both her enemies and the Chantry cult that formed around her. Likewise, it was meant to crush any attempts at manipulating the Inquisitor into a political marriage after the war. If you can’t pick up on the reasons why, well, maybe you’re just blind.

Love this, it's beautiful and the explanation just made me chuckle ![]()
Thought I'd share pics my my kitties too!
Are we sharing pictures of our pets now? Awesome!
This is my cat. She died a few days before Christmas a year ago. She was 17 years old. It still hurts. These are among the last pictures of her I took the summer before she died.
I'm still haunted by the death of my dog over four years ago...
Pictures of him can be found on the website of the animal shelter I got him from when he was already ten years old. He lived another 4 years and 4 months:

I am kinda ... creeped out now. My cat looks almost exactly like your cat. She is 17 yrs old this year. She's having kidney problems and I don't expect her to last much longer.
I've just been doing the Winter Palace again with the outcome in favour of Briala. When discussing this back at Skyhold with Solas, I comment how I hope it will benefit our people. Solas' response just cracks me up. Intense puzzlement and possibly a moment of panic as he wonders if I've rumbled him. Then it dawns on him "Oh you mean the elves." Yes, I think, who else? In fact I'm actually allowed to ask him this but then we're back to the usual evasive answer.
When I was in a romance with him I went with the Celene/Briala combo and didn't get the same options but in any case "love is blind" pretty much summed me up when dealing with Solas. Playing with a male Lavellan is so much more revealing and amusing. The number of times he says something that doesn't quite ring true with his cover story is comical.
The only thing I'm still trying to decide is whether Solas only becomes the dread wolf after the last battle. By this I mean was he an elf in the service of Fen'Harel and therefore had a lot of knowledge without actually knowing everything (like Felassen) so when he says he doesn't know certain facts, he is telling the truth? Or was he always the Dread Wolf from the beginning and thus constantly equivocating and evading in order to conceal the truth? I prefer the former explanation but suspect the latter.

I need your opinion guys, for reasons. Which crying face is more pathetic looking?

You know I'm sad for your kitty and also disgusted with myself (and you) because now I've got this in my head.
The first is more pathetic. Tobey Maguire in general = Pathetic.
NOOOO! He is and always will be the best Peter Parker. idegaf
