Man, I missed one day and already 30 pages behind, lol.

Liz, loving your Lavellan! <3 She rocks that hairstyle, I swear.

Giton, saw the movie. Definitely worthy for costumes and effects. Also, space werewolf on roller blades is...

Also sharing with you guys a new formal outfit I made for Lavellan (based on a dress I found at a thrift shop for 5 freaking dollars, how awesome is that?!)

Sorry this took so long, just got home from work.  Pics here:

http://imgur.com/29j...WQ0TLL8,47ntZAN

She has that little white bit on her chest like yours did.

And thanks for the wishes.  We noticed she wasn't eating much and she'd gotten thinner so we took her to the vet which is when we found out about the kidney problems.  The vet gave us prescription food for her which has worked amazingly well.  It won't work forever of course but for now she's doing well.  And I'm practically her slave at the moment lol.

You know, despite being the Dread Wolf, I think Solas would be a cat person.

Oh indeed. Exact same fur and eye color!

I fed mine special kidney food. But not exclusively. I also switched her to "good" cat food but she never liked those. All her life she preferred the cheapest garbage. At least she got some protein from all the insects she ate... 17 years is fairly old, so I don't think the cheap food killed her.

Every time I see a reference on this thread to AVPM, I die a little inside from the sheer happiness.

I have a question I am hoping someone can answer. My second playthrough I plan on playing as an Elf and was wondering if the Solas romance is different depending on if you're a mage or if you're just a rogue/warrior.

There's a single flirt line by his that compliments something specific to class.

You might get the occasional extra dialogue option by being a mage and having the Arcane Knowledge Perk, or getting a Mage specialization. Solas likes to discuss all of the things. But warriors and rogues can get Arcane Knowledge too. :)

I think they try to make you see that throughout the game - how the Inquisition you've formed is a movement that is now beyond you, Cassandra, Leliana, Josephine, and Cullen and even while you're still trying to stop the end of the world you need to think about what the end game for this movement is because it's not a simple case of job done laters~

I don't think the Inquisition is viable as the Inquisition - it's more or less served its purpose, but I also don't think it's a simple case of breaking the pieces apart and everyone going back where they came from. My personal headcanon (for mage!trevelyan) is that you stay at Skyhold and turn it into a peacetime power - a leading independent Circle of Magi that is guarded by a reformed templar order and has a normal community that forms around it (almost like a college town) consisting of horsemasters/smithies/merchants/etc. The power is still there, just somewhat more subdued and more stable - the diplomatic ties that the Inquisition held would naturally transfer to the new Circle and its community (maybe~ a new kind of Circle that isn't really just about mages, but about magical study and research~ Dagna <3 ) and as First Enchanter, it does make a certain amount of sense for you to wield your influence/blackmail material for the benefit of the Circle. I mean~ this is just one way of going about it, but I honestly think the Inquisition can't just disintegrate - it needs to undergo a deliberate transformation process into something that can fill the vacuum and slowly seal it.

And Viv, Morrigan and even Solas hint that you need to protect yourself once your immediate usefulness as a rift closer and political animal has passed... I like the solution you propose, a peaceful hub of civilization, but such hubs, Alexandria, Bagdad, Athens or Toledo, say can only survive as part of a larger power... with an army. Perhaps you should become the Independent Settlement of Skyhold a Protectorate of the Crowns of Ferelden and Orlais...

One thing IB says really struck me, looking at a thaig (or was it an elven structure) he says "What are Ferelden and Orlais doing? A construction that has lasted for thousands of years... They should be studying this."

I expect it's all a moot point anyway. My guess is the developers have plenty more for the inquisition to do, regardless of how grouchy that's going to make your poor Lavellan. ;)

If it's post-game DLC, that's fine. I certainly hope Solavellan gets some more resolution.

I think if you want the leftover wealth and power you accumulated to mean something, you put it towards institutions that are built to last. I do think of endowing Skyhold as some kind of magic institute, a place for magic study outside Chantry control. I don't have any interest in being a baron, myself, but possibly Bioware will do something like what you're suggesting since people seem to like the noble titles and all that crap, whether it makes sense or not (arl of Amaranthine, a non-human inheriting Gwaren, etc.).

Are there any other Theodosian groups that we hate besides Orlesians?

I understand that some people aren't fond of Tevinter, though I can't possibly fathom why. Blood magic and slavery are so in this year!

The Dog Lords of Ferelden can't possibly be hated. They're called Dog Lords.

Kirkwall is...is Kirkwall.

And I know I've seen a few with hatred for the Qunari. Like, say, Solas. :P

So Saturday morning I'm getting my hair cut and colored, and now I want a skrillex cut.

I don't think they would appreciate it at work.

But I will be asking you guys opinions as I look through pinterest at ideas.

Also good morning.

The Qunari are despicable, but I admire their strength and iron will.... would kill them without hesitation, but I can't muster hate for them. Tevinter are pretty much Orlesians, except magic... Great oversimplification I know, but basically. Terrible outfits, self important snobs, Great douchebags, etc.

But the reason I dislike the Orlesians above all is because they have the nerve to pretend like they're anything but the little **** heads they are. Especially the Chevalier... And all their stupid pointless parties meant to make themselves feel even more important... It's no wonder Leliana enjoyed "The Game".

And I hate hearing that crap. "The Game". It's so corny.

I think some Qunari would argue that that is the same thing. :P

But yeah, he seems exasperated with Qunari in general and pities Bull in particular if he continues to be a Qunari after the incident. Hates the Qun itself, though. The snarky banters are glorious.

The Orlesians remind me very strongly of Cairhien (Am I even spelling that right? It's been years) from Wheel of Time. If only we had Aiel for some Orlesian lord to upset...

The main reason I like Tevinter more than Orlais is that Orlais has spent last few centuries being the biggest bully in the block. Tevinter, however, has spent the last few centuries getting dog-piled by Exalted Marches and occupied by the Qunari, only to be fighting a long and bitter cold war with them in the jungles of Seheron. This after losing a Thedas spanning empire. Their colossal arrogance almost becomes an admirable, albeit deranged, stubbornness in the face of adversity. Orlais...not so much. But they're getting there. I do have to grudgingly admit that they've got a pretty badass resume.

I think I may also be alone in finding the Qunari fascinating. Not that I want a society like theirs, but after DA2 I learned to love how very different they are from the other civilizations in Thedas. Also I may have been a bit hot for the Arishok... dat voice.

One thing I like in DAI is that you get to know each of the nations a bit more, so you can see their strengths and weaknesses and how civilization as a whole is perceived often has little to do with the daily lives of their citizens (as in that conversation with Bull) So I think all of them have something to like, though I'm more interested in the tribes that got left on the sides of history like the Avvar (I don't care much for empires even IRL)

I agree with that too, usually, but I find that I can irrationally hate many a Orlesian just for being one alone, lol. This is why I thought I'd hate Vivienne initially... that outfit is so absurd, and Disney really should be suing. Or Angelina Jolie, somebody.
