Abelas isn't bad to look at...but I don't see much appeal beyond that. He doesn't really have a distinct character that you could say one thing or another about. He's loyal, and he is stoic. I think he's a great pick for expanding upon in future games. But for the moment, he just seems like a pretty face and thighs. 

 

But, I suppose I am someone who doesn't really care if we get a bad ending or a good one with Solas. I don't really feel wounded by the breakup. I just want to see more of the story. I adore Solas's character. If I was that worried about endings, I would just romance Cullen.

Can we calm down on the Morrigan hate and Abelas talk? This is the Solas thread. There is another thread for Abelas and if you feel the need, you can make one to talk about not liking Morrigan.

If we stay on the topic of Solas 100% of the time this thread would be dead in a matter of hours I think. It's been months after release with 0 new information.. I think it's understandable that the people who like to hang out in this thread have a variety of topics they like to talk about. From Abelas, to make up, to sharing art of their other favorite Dragon Age characters.

Honestly, besides the romance, and unlike most people who wanna find Solas to have their crafted gear back, the first thing I might tell to Solas once we find him would probably be "FINISH THE DAMN FRESCO! You suck at making good decisions, just stick to your brushes and color tubes, and please paint the whole damn castle if that could stop you from ****** EVERYTHING UP ONCE MORE!"
Like for real, he's a great painter, my castle would look so rad.

I don't think people need to stay on topic. But, I do think it would actually benefit Abelas to have an active thread. It worked for Cullen! I would love to see his character expanded upon. The best way to do that is to not tie him so much as an alternative to Solas, but a distinct character that people have an interest in finding out more about.

Like the others said, we need more information. There's only so much weeping over Fenhead that people can do before people want to talk about other stuff. If you want us to get on topic, perhaps say something on topic, or quit playing moderator. If you don't like the conversation, tough. I suggest you

He should grab another shade of nail polish for his toenails while he's in the store then. I don't think that pink is really his color.

I totally have a Screw Morrigan world state. It is.. DELICIOUS. I've already tried to murder knife her once. I will TOTALLY try to do so again. Except, you know, she's Gaider's baby. So that option probably will be about as permanent as Leliana's (and thereby Abelas') death.

In my Hero=Ass world state my warden knocked her up with a normal child and stabbed her when she went through the mirror.

It makes me feel so guilty that I haven't touched my Assquisitor PT in months.

Rabbit is clearly crazy.  Solas' freckles are adorable.  I bet if he sits out in the sun too long they just...pop.  I like inflicting a massive amount of pain my Lady Trev.  I've written a few little things of her unrequited love of Solas.

Don't see what's the problem exactly..
"some off topic is expected" and that's exactly what it is. This is still 90% a Solas thread as far as I can tell. 3 or 4 posts about Abelas won't damage it.. and "Calm down on hating Morrigan", when there was like only 1 post who made a joke about not liking her.. Eeeh
