I always headcanon Trev & Solas' relationship almost like Lel and Justinia - this is finding a kindred spirit and a hahren, not about petty romance

I remember Addai saying that it could be remnant of the elven tattoos since they used to be their slaves... They are indeed badass. Bull's made me pretty jealous I couldn't have something like those. Though I wouldn't join the Qun for them, lol.

Ah, on my first playthrough, playing as a Lavellan, I refused to kiss Solas in Haven, because it was too soon for me to decide, didn't know characters enough to make a romance choice yet. Little did I know it was required to kiss him to further continue any romance option with him, so when I realized that, it was too late, I wanted to romance him, so I had my Lavellan be in an unrequited love relationship with him anyway, while having a fix-up relationship with Sera.
On my second (canon) playthrough, I made sure to get everything right this time.
Literally I walk away to do work (find an appropriate gif) and I come back and we're being admonished.

I wonder if there's a relationship with Fenris' lyrium tattoos that are created by the magisters? Since both the vitaar and the lyrium tattoos give their bearer superpowahz (and it wouldn't be the first time the Vints stole something from Arlathan and thought it was just theirs)

Can we calm down on the Morrigan hate and Abelas talk? This is the Solas thread. There is another thread for Abelas and if you feel the need, you can make one to talk about not liking Morrigan.
If we tied it back to how it relates to Solas, would that be okay?
I personally really like Morrigan, but that was poor form on her part. I don't adore Abelas thanks to his "shadows wearing vallaslin; you are not my people!" comment, but I do feel bad for him and could grow to like him if we got to know him more in less... tense... circumstances. First time I played, I really didn't want to have to kill him, and so chose my words carefully trying to find a peaceful compromise. So happy it worked out. As for Solas, the above video is the first time I've seen "Morrigan drinks from the Well" footage. I was surprised to see a big hunking "Solas Approves," after his "You are a glutton before a feast! You can't be trusted!" talk.
My Lavellan drank from the Well because, like Abelas, she didn't want her people's knowledge leaving the People. Also, like she thought Solas felt, didn't feel she could fully trust the knowledge with Morrigan. Then she got "Solas Disapproves" while drinking, and returned to Skyhold only to find him chewing her out over drinking from it. It's like, "I thought you didn't want Morrigan to have it! And you didn't want to drink from it either! I solved that problem!"
After seeing the end credits, it makes sense now. It's likely he was just using reverse-psychology to get her to drink the Well. Oops. Sorry to throw a wrench in your plans, Solas.
So Saturday morning I'm getting my hair cut and colored, and now I want a skrillex cut.

I think we should just drop it. I'm hardly one for sticking strictly to the topic, but the off-topicness of the thread is a legitimate concern. And character bashing does make the thread feel less welcoming at times. Let's just make a note of it and move on without crucifying anyone.

I played on Lady Trev first and was like 'oh no' and by the winter palace was pretty much screaming "WHY WON'T YOU LOVE ME'. So i had to switch over. There is a tiny part of me that is like 'but he belongs to her!!' poor lady trev. when I returned to her game I turned her into a power hungry, machiavellian princess(as much as I could). she was the one that had to harden her heart. 
Does it bother you if I keep posting my tinfoil theories here, even if they aren't Solas related? I know there's a dedicated lore thread, but I'd rather discuss it with people who I know can debate respectfully instead of just name calling.

Some off topic happens, yes. People get bored with no new information but this thread has been way off for awhile now. There has been way more than three or four posts about Abelas. He has his own thread that would benefit from the pages and pages of people here talking about how much they love him. The one Morrigan joke was about taking pleasure in stabbing her. It's not comfortable talk for some people.

Yes! Talking about other characters in relation to Solas is a good thing.
Well, what's interesting about the vitaar is that they're literally poisonous to anyone OTHER than the qunari. Something in their chemical make-up is so toxic that it would kill any other race. It seems to have been formulated for them specifically. I did a post a while back connecting the vitaar, castless tattoos, and vallaslin a while back. I'll have to sort through my posts to find it.

Agreed. I think his line about Morrigan being a glutton was more that she seemed like she would do ANYTHING to get that knowledge. Solas - though similar to Morrigan in regards to love of knowledge - is not going to set the world on fire to get it. Wisdom for the sake of wisdome... blah blah. She didn't seem to care what it entailed. If she was more thoughtful, hesistant, concerned he probably would have said nothing.
