I went out a found a guide, too, because I am an unrepentant min-maxer.  It's funny, because the guide I went with was mostly Sabotage, and then spec. Shadow first and spec. Assassin second. One-hit-kills everywhere.

 

Haha that is funny cause it told me to stay far far away from Sabotage  .....lol well it turned out either way both our Hawkes were kicking butt.

I really hope they announce the final LIs now, because this is the end for me. I can't risk reading the forums anymore. I'd be devastated if this game is spoilt for me. But I wish everyone the best of luck for the LI announcement (whenever that may be).

 

Same.  I'm keeping myself isolated to a few threads for the time being.  I really hope the last LIs are announced very soon because I'm feeling like it's getting time to leave for a few months.

I've never actually played an archer in DA... going to make my first one in Inquisition!  I had my heart set on playing a rogue my first time (figured doing a mage second will be cool for the added content) but then Cole got revealed and I need him to be my stabbity-rogue (team respectful debate FTW!) and I hate redundancy.   So I figured an Artificer/archer would be different enough - plus it suits the brains over brawn type of character I want to make.  

 

You know what else would suit her - Solas as an LI.  Just sayin.' If you're gonna break my her heart Bioware, do it soon, 'kay?

I was an archer on my very first DA2 playthrough and my first time at DA overall. It was awesome. I loved just hanging back and shooting at everyone with Varric, all the while watching Fenris launch his glowy self at everything that moved.... Good times. Good times.

 

Think I'll be a mage on my first DAI playthrough, though. I've just gotten pretty attached to that class.  Plus, if I'm a mage, then I can either be unstoppable nerd mage buddies or an unstoppable nerd mage couple with Solas.

Bah. I know I haven't been posting much, but I have been lurking... Now with these possible achievement leaks I'm considering avoiding forums altogether (even though it's so fun here! And I only hang out here or in the Twitter thread). I don't want to admit it, but I've gotten caught up in wanting to know the LI status of Solas (even though I keep telling myself I don't care that much...). But that is literally the only thing I want spoiled (I'm even kinda miffed at all the location images because exploration is one of my favorite things).

 

Hopefully they let us know soonish so I can go on my media blackout (and mayhaps show up occasionally with an art ).

Best part about DA2 Archer is that in the High Dragon fight at the Bone Pit you can just keep plinking away irregardless of position. We've only seen Sera in action but archery looks similar, just with more flipping:

Sera: (backflips over Solas) Have to stay limber.

Solas: Strange, I don't recall the Inquisitor having any issues with your flexibility.

Sera: (nearly trips) What?! How do you know-

Solas: I can see strong emotions imprinted upon the Fade, provided that the Veil in thin. In case you didn't notice the gaping hole in the sky the Veil is thin everywhere.

Sera: So you get off on watching us?

Solas: Why do you think I sleep away from the dormitories? It's bad enough witnessing the Bull's dreams, I don't need repeat performances.

If the Veil is thin in your hometown and your magical talent is picking up memories imprinted on the Fade then you probably wouldn't want to be too close to other people.  At least the people in the memories of ancient ruins are less awkward to deal with.

thanks everyone for the kinds words on my Solas cosplay! i'll try to post better pictures once i have them. meeting Patrick and a the other Bioware people there was awesome. (watching the demo in person is so much more amazing than seeing it online!)

..... .... this spoiler just invites my mind to go wildXD anyway, that's a shame but it's understandable, they're pretty tight lipped on the last two romances. Let's hope they say something about it during comic-con.

Ooh... that is an interesting thought.  Though I believe his 'seeing' peoples' memories is more him picking up impressions from events that happened in a certain place, rather than seeing those memories directly.  Even still, it is possible he would start to learn of violent/illicit/secretive things about people if he stayed in one place too long - be it murders, affairs, or what have you.  

 

Oh! Maybe he even got run out of his hometown because he knew too much about things people wanted to keep hidden?  Kind of hard to make back alley deals or sleep with the mayor's wife if that weird kid a few houses down is going to find out about it in his dreams.

 

Edit (because I had another thought!): A lot of people have speculated that Solas is the one who will betray you.  What if it's not that at all - in fact, he finds out one of your other companions/advisors (got my eyes on you, Leliana....) is plotting something and brings it to your attention? And you have to choose who to trust?

 

(Just to clarify, I do like Leliana, but I read some fan theories about her being a spy the whole time she's with you in Origins, because she's such a fantastic liar and all, so I spent my last run of DAO as a character who deeply mistrusts her.  And it kinda stuck   Funny how RP can do that.)
