If that were the case then Blackwall would certainly not have had a sex scene. At least not before that thing happened.

 

There was never any commentary from a writer/dev about avoiding a romance scene with Solas. His writer just wanted that to be left up to the player. Possibly he didn't want people to feel uncomfortable if there was a definite scene and then Solas did his Thing. Or keeping it ambiguous allows asexuals to have a romance and not feel the pressure of a sex scene. I'm glad they left it so either way, because while I'm sure my Lavellan was enjoying side benefits with Solas it didn't feel necessary to the romance. If Solas and another Lavellan just never approached a physically intimate relationship, it wouldn't have lessened the emotional and spiritual impact of the relationship.

I'm guessing he's lying. He also just happens to really looove the fade. The excitement was genuine.

To be honest, I discovered that a few years ago. All these years, before, I thought I wasn't normal or something, couldn't quite figure out why I would never swoon while all my friends would. It's even more awkward when one of my friends would like to point out cute boys to me, in order to rate them/agree on them being sexy, and I look at him in complete confusion, like "I don't know, he's... ok?"

It's quite funny in my case, because I've always been very aware of my own sexual pleasure, and I've been owning it at a very young age. Like I said, I can be very sexual, unlike popular misconceptions about demisexuals who people think to have a somewhat reduced sexual life. It's not the case at all, it's just that what triggers it is vaguely different from what the norm would be.

(Sorry for TMI, I think talking about sex is a great topic, if taken with the necessary maturity, and I actually don't believe that sexuality should be TMI, but I also don't wanna offend anyone who'd feel unease reading my words)

I though I was defective for a very long time because I never found the same things "sexy" as everyone else. I've always been more attracted to actions than bodies. The first time I found myself thinking "I want to have sex with that guy" about a stranger was a few years ago, after binge watching George Carlin vids. He was fully clothed, old, angry etc... but I haven't found myself so attracted to a stranger since. Just because I felt I understood his points, agreed with many and found his humor to be perfect. I still feel wierd about that though.

 

I really really wish sexuality and sexual identity would be something more acceptable. I have been going trough a identity chrisis for a while because I haven't taken the time to think about myself in that way until now, and it sucks! I am getting closer to finding out who/what I am but it really shouldn't be something so... scary.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if he was lying via creative phrasing.  I am probably remembering some of the dialogue wrong.  Wasn't it said something about "why this particular part of the fade?" and then he said his line about never being their physically?  So assuming he's lying, he's being truthful in that he's never physically been in this specific part of the fade?  If I am remembering the dialogue incorrectly just completely disregard me!

Does that mean Feynriel learned how to do that after we helped him in DA2? Or did he just portal himself out of dreaming and back into his regular body? The dialogue at the end of the quest when talking to Arianni/Marethari suggests that he physically disappeared if you let him leave.

 

Maybe it's more.. where the sleeping mind travels, the body will follow (teleport to the relevant physical location) after it awakens? That could be a weird loophole, but I'm pretty sure Gaider or Weekes or someone said that there is no way to teleport via magic in this setting.

I think I'm the only person here who thinks Solas straight up lies about things. Not everything. But lots of things. He might feel guilty about it but he's still a lying liar who lies. Still want to bang.

Exactly!  Even before the reveal at the end, that line raised my eyebrows.  Oh so you mean it's only the lore that doesn't connect them, is that what you really mean you mysterious thing you?

It means that if he wants to see the girl again, kill the other daughter so there's another funeral and he'll see her again.

Feynriel just woke up and left.  He's a Dreamer, but they don't physically travel the Fade.  That's why it was such a big deal for the Inquisitor to do it.

It's been years since I watched Seinfeld.  But to this day i will giggle when I think about the episode where he chose saying "Helloooooooooooooo" in that ridiculous accent over the woman he was dating.
