I've said before why I like the idea of Fen'Harel just being Fen'Harel- but a big part of it is because it makes Flemeth/Mythal's situation less unique. If body hopping was something that the elvhen gods could do all the time, why is Solas surprised that Mythal endures? Why would her betrayer even bother to kill her if she could just Avatar herself somewhere else further down the line?

 

When Mythal/Flemeth talks about how they joined, it sounds difficult. She clawed through the ages to reach her. Fen'Harel, meanwhile, has shown no evidence of having been killed or even trapped. Unless the veil itself is stopping the elven gods from returning, there doesn't seem to be any reason for him to possess a mortal body.

 

Everything you say makes a lot of sense to me, and I tend to lean towards that.

In the end, I just really hope that Solas is an original elven god, but welp, we'll see how Bioware will handle that one.

 

As for Sera being Andruil's vessel, I like the theory, but I don't believe it to be right, and I also hope it's not. Redundancy.

Also Isseya and Maric really need to have some kind of competition for who can have the most miserable life.

The griffons are his offspring. One of them seems to take after his papa.

I think Isseya won. Well, lost. By a lot. While Maric went through really horrible stuff, he at least saved his people, became a king, had friends and laughs and a cute elf girlfriend or two, had a best friend and a son to take over the family business, and he even went on a boating cruise!

Most of that went terribly, and the poor bastard suffered. 

But I'd take all

that over the Fourth Blight and Isseya's life anytime. *shudders*

Two weeks ago there was some fight up the road at some bar, where these two guys beat the crap out of some girl.The guys who did it fled and the cops followed their tracks to the house next door, where they are known to hang out. There were cops all over our neighborhood, yard, driveway...searching. They decided, even though these two guys are repeat offenders for battery, breaking and entering, assault, burglary, etc., not to put out a warrant.

So this morning I get a load of texts about a double shooting in my town. Two shot point blank in the head, by one of the guys who hangs out a lot next door.

So now this guy isn't just a punk he's a damn murderer and he's still on the loose.

Now in bigger cities it's maybe not the biggest issue, but I live in a tiny damn Midwestern town and it's a huge deal with press conferences and everything.

And I work at the local newspaper.

I'm over today already. And I'm home alone tonight, too. Boo. My husband is stressed out, schools are on light lockdown..it's crazy.

I was already pondering at the question "why would anyone change Solas' eyebrows to begin with", but yeah, that Dorian won the cake.

I was thinking on this and I think I prefer Solas as his original form for partially the same reason I prefer Sera not be Andruil's vessel. Not every ancient elven god we meet needs to be a spiritual hitchhiker (or every elf who joins up with the Inquisitor carrying one around), we saw it with Flemythal, it would nice to see something different with the others. 

 

I've been trying to work out exactly why I'm so against the bodyhopping theory and you've summed it up perfectly.

I will admit, one character I'd like to change the hair color on is Sera. I might keep her blonde, just make it a darker blonde so that her hair doesn't look like it is the same shade as her skintone. Particularly in the bang area.

Didn't that cause a slight controversy when it first appeared on the forums before the game was out?  I think it even had people being requested by devs to remove it (but that might just be rumour).

One is described as being an unbroken pure black, the same as Revas and I think isseya says that it was a rare colour, I dono probably coincidence.
