One is described as being an unbroken pure black, the same as Revas and I think isseya says that it was a rare colour, I dono probably coincidence.

Ah yea it did say that. Who knows... maybe some weird stuff happened from their taint spreading. It is a disease caused by blood magic.

 

For now though I'll just assume coincidence.

Didn't that cause a slight controversy when it first appeared on the forums before the game was out?  I think it even had people being requested by devs to remove it (but that might just be rumour).

Yeah someone photoshopped of a few companions in a sort of aryan characteristics. The thought of a whitewashing mod horrified people just like what someone did to isabella in da2. 

 

I cringed at the time but now I laugh at it and anticipate to see if someone dare to make a whitewashed mod. Think of the drama.

I feel like "evil" cullen as shown above would really just be Cullen in a grumpy mood. he's just feeling particularly broody and wants the world to know and "NOONE UNDERSTANDS MY PAIN" . so he pretty much turns into a sullen 16 year old goth kid.

Seeing whitewashed characters makes me want someone to punk those people and do mods/pictures of all the white characters with dark skin and hair. Because hey, why not?

 

Not that I'd be behind it any more than with whitewashing. Leave the characters as they are. But I imagine the response could be interesting.

Speaking of evil Cullen... has anyone else seen Amio's DAI AU where Cullen is the leader of the Red Templers and Samson in the commander of the Inqusition's forces?  She hasn't drawn much for it yet, but it's amazing.

Yeah, I think his skintone is what makes it look a little off.
