It wasn't a hateful comment if you would look in the spoiler...I didn't say you all couldn't stay here in the thread btw. But yes I was a bit curious on why some are here if they aren't interested in Solas anymore... now I know.

Yeah, I think that's the thing - I am STILL interested IN Solas. I'm just NO LONGER interested in BEDDING Solas. I want the guy to be happy - I'd love for him to find a happy ending. I just don't want to be with him as anything other than a friend from here on out. Heck, I don't really want to bed ANY of the romance options (other than Cass, but we can womance each other with smutty fiction and battle cries). 

I like the lore, enjoy his character and his deep seated flaws, and am so excited to see where this goes. I love the thread, the people in it, and have a good time. Keep being excellent to each other, Solas Thread.

I recommend giving Viv another go.  I try to be friends with everybody on my playthroughs and I value Viv's opinion even if I didn't agree with it.  She comes to really care for te Quizzy.  She's not cruel and I'm lik 'eh they're adults they can take care of themselves' when she's snarking off.  Solas gives as good as she does so I loved having her in a party with him. 

 

Oh, I do not dislike her at all, actually. Each time I can I talk to her, make all of her personal quests and ask for advices, But I really definitely don't agree with most her political/social views, and as a character, I feel she lacks some content/depth to really get to know her. But then again, how well would you ever know someone who's played the Game her whole life so well that whatever bit left of authenticity might have been lost forever behind these huge sturdy walls she had to build to protect herself.
But if anything, she'll definitely add insane classiness to my banter ;D

Let's say you sit at a table at lunch with all your friends from the cheerleading squad. You have lots of fun with your fellow cheerleaders at lunch. But then you join math club because you also like math. But the cheerleaders make you sit at the math club table all alone with like two other people. And you look over and see all your cheerleaders laughing and having fun and you can't join even though you still really like cheerleading. You can't like both math and cheerleading.

Yeah. I don't know how high you are with her approval - i managed to be bff's with her so i thought i got to crack that armor a bit but you are right. i will always distrust her kindness just because she's played The Game her whole life so i was suspicious of it. i actually think this is great though and a testament to the writing of her character.  you don't know whether to trust her kidness or not.

Question for those of you who bought the Tower shirt: is it at least decent quality?  Also, how do the ladies' sizes fit?

 

I'm typically a small, but I find their small to be slightly baggier than I'd like around the waist. It fits more like a boy t-shirt on me, but I still love it. The quality is good, though. Fairly thick, soft fabric and well made. Still gonna buy all-the-Solas-tees.

 

Also, what. Some of us were discussing our hopes for that t-shirt (and the Hierophant) to be released just yesterday. Bioware, if you're reading this: thank you, you crafty cats. If not, everybody please ignore this paranoia.

We mostly deal with dire implications about each other's penile size, virility, and the occasional chest-puffing to get the prestige of a fistfight without any actual chance of bloodying a knuckle. I'm not sure I've ever seen a male group exercise politics with quite the level of sophistication and viciousness that a group of mildly sociopathic teenage girls can.

By senior year I gave up on girls entirely and all of my friends were guys (much to my parents' distress). There was a staggering lack of drama. But tons of Venture Bros, World of Warcraft, late night Pizookies, Super Smash Bros, and bromance. It was the best. 10/10 would do again.

Most of my good friends were chicks... I guess they liked the break from their girlfriends. I heard enough about it to write a book.
