No.  I want a happy ending for him and would probably 'sigh dreamily' over a happy Lavellan/Solas ending. I like his character overall - even as just a friend.  He deserves that. He's a good man and deserves to live without baggage and guilt or even die feeling like his life meant something good(I'm prepared emotionally for it all).   I hope BW does his character justice, that's all.  Do the romance justice AND the friendship Quizzy justice.

On a related note, here's a silly weirdo thing to discuss: how do you guys think Solas slept prior to joining the Inquisition? Does he have a bed roll in that hobo-pack of his, or does he rough it on the ground? Pillow? Blankies? Blankies with duckies and clouds on it? His head must get cold at night. I wonder if he tries to find caves rather than sleeping out in the open...

I headcanon that he prefers to sleep outside, where he can see the stars and feel the wind on his bald noggin.  If he was in uthenera for a long time, I doubt he was outside.  Probably in some tomb or temple or something.  It was a bit stuffy, so once he's up and about he likes the open air.

I'm not certain, but you may also need to be at a certain point in the game for the scene to trigger. Solas's rant includes various things that have happened, so you may need to have completed at least one of the major missions after Skyhold for it to pop up.

I don't know. He knows how to paint.  Get some horsehair, cloth, probably paint on a lavellan and tie that **** to his back pack and get rid of the bedroll.   He can prop it up on a log when making camp at night.

Weird.  I knew Viv didn't like my Adaar, but I guess she doesn't hate him enough for me to trigger the rant since she's barely said a peep since Skyhold.  I guess she just glowers at him in disapproving silence the way only Vivienne could.

I don't think anyone would be too comfortable on the bare ground. He probably just used a small bedroll and pillow, maybe some sort of fur covering for colder weather. Unless mage enchants can handle that all by themselves. Which is possible, judging by how none of the elves get frostbitten toes. 

 

I like to think there's a biologically appropriate explanation for elves feet not freezing. Maybe they've evolved the same heat distribution mechanisms as penguins?

Everytime my Lavellan talks to Viv she gets a Greatly Disaproves.  She'll probably like my Adaar better (even though her reasons for going Templers is 'we need people for the Breach now'.  Adaar may be a mage, but she's not in this for you revolution.)

:3 That is a nice headcanon, and I think I need to adopt it, with the addition of some practical alternatives for dealing with things like rainstorms, wild beasties, general safety concerns, and change of pace, should his ears get too cold. I remember sleeping under the stars on my trampoline for a few days during the summer as a kid, and my face always got so cold. u_u Sleep tuque.
