You are right. I want to express my deep and honest sympathy and pity for him leaving the girl after severely hurting her pride as a member of her people. There is really nothing cute about that. He deserves no such problems.

I just tried the werewolf name thing on my Lavellan and got "Magic Wolf". That should be Solas', not hers.

And about the subject of Lavellan dancing and making Solas watch it, for three days in a row, when I was playing my canon playthrough all day long, I had this as my music background :

 

 

I was imagining my Lavellan dancing in front of him, Shakira/Beyoncé style, looking at him everytime she'd say "Beautiful Liar", and making him regret all of his poor life choices. In a "Yeah, you better see what you're missing on, Fen'Harel" kind of way.

 

Also, listened a lot to this one :

 

 

Because of the title.

Yeah, I basically had a very cheesy playlist during half that playthrough, but I guess it helped a bit with them feels.

About the dancing,for some reason I always associated elven dance with river dance and their singing with Welsh singing.

I imagine my Lavellan dancing to some short of Irish soft shoe dancing,looks very similar to ballet but it's more "lively".

I have this headcanon of my Lavellan being really fabulous at Dalish dancing, which I'm going to blame on stemming from Solas' "graceful" rogue-specific comment. For some reason, I imagine her dancing to be a totally frenetic combination of African tribal dancing, belly dancing, First Nations grass dancing and some generally crazy **** mixed with some contemporary goodness. I don't know. I can picture it in my head.

 

And then I imagine my Lavellan gets a bit tipsy in the pub one night after a day of successful questing with her pals, and without warning Maryden surprises her with a Dalish tune she'd endeavored to learn just for her, and she loses her mind in the best way and goes all dancing badass on them and Solas is amazed and confused and alarmed and has such a massive boner for her and doesn't know what to do with himself so he just stands there, hands clenching tightly until he dies.

 

It is GLORIOUS.

I wonder why he chooses that particular word as an endearment.  Solas is pretty precise in his language, even when he's lying or omitting information, and he uses it as a way of distancing himself from the world.  Lavellan can even point out during his personal quest that he's known for not needing help.

 

But he calls her his "heart," something he couldn't live without, something that sustains and gives life.

Oh, if we're onto angsty songs, Nine Inch Nail's Terrible Lie has the exact same angry energy I was experiencing during that playthrough.
