Garrus and Shepard was my happy romance. Now everyone is dysfunctional.

 

My Warden/Morrigan happily claim title to world's shadiest parents. I don't feel so protective of their romance as Kieran, and I am sure both of them agree. If any harm comes to Kieran, their wrath would be legendary. 

 

My Hawke is sort of in flux. I don't know what sort of canon I want. I recently decided to have my Warden switch over to being a Surana rather than a Amell, just to keep with the elf theme. I am torn between a noble Hawke who romances Anders and kills him, or a Hawke that romances Fenris or Merril to keep the ELF POWER chain going. Been feeling a bit pulled to Fenris lately. 

 

My Lavellan is a confident little ****. I have no doubt that whatever happens, she'll be fine. She probably won't ever love someone like she loved Solas, but love is not the most important thing in her life. All she needs are problems to solve for her to be happy.

I recorded my dreams for 6 months. Went back and had a pretty good laugh at some of them that I thought were scary at the time.

Also I get a lot of sleep paralysis. Nope nope nope. Seen some pretty scary ****.

Here Nikki - For you -- SOURCE  I regret nothing.  I hope Fenris finds happiness in my world. According to this crack fic I saw, he and Abelas get.it.on.    So...you know maybe that will happen. (Obviously totally untrue because my Lavellan is 100% Abelas trash).

All barbarians here. I'd never let Hawke die. Sarcastic Hawke was the most adorable thing under the sun. I might even rather leave behind ("will likely die covering your escape" is not exactly reliable anyway) the man I once loved, me egoistic bit**. (Which is not necessary because he's king and broke up with me anyway but oh well.)

This! Alistair and my Warden are my babies! I'm on a personal mission to protect them and their love! My Hawke/Anders pairing is dead, and I don't know what's gonna happen with the Lavellan/Solas romance, so Alistair/Mahariel is the only happy romance I have left. ;____;

I have such fond memories of playing DA:O that I feel like the canon must be protected at all costs. Not just the Alistair/Warden-mance.  Anders has already fucked it up. Killing Justice and fun!Anders in one go.  

 

I really did not like DA2 and felt no real affinity for Hawke. Mostly because she didn't really feel like MY character. I was just along for the ride. I had fun at points and still enjoy playing Sarcastic!Hawke but, I don't really feel a bond to those characters.

 

Lavellan and Solas.  My girl is cool enough. I feel like, in that game, my Lavellan bonded pretty strongly with her friends as well.  Solas leaving was a blow, but not something she couldn't handle.  Her friendships with everyone are pretty much equally as important to her.  I like that canon a lot though...so we shall see how things play out in future games.

Poor Stroud. I actually felt bad for leaving him in the Fade in my Trev playthrough. I was really tempted to leave my Hawke in the Fade again just because DAI Hawke generally annoys the hell out of me.

Loghain had nothing to do with the Cousicide. His alliance with Howe afterwards was purely practical. Howe already occupied the North and Denerim arling both, the south was overrun, and he'd already cut himself off from help from Redcliffe. You need to read The Arrangement dude, pronto.

On topic, I never heard this banter before and feel deprived. Bereft, even.

Same, at least in my canon worldstate for DA. My Warden and Alistair are both still alive but separated along with WTF is going in in Weisshaupt, my Hawke is dead and left a crazy-pants Anders behind, and then there's Solas and Lavellan.  I'm bad at happiness 
 

Poor Fenris. If Hawke dies, his life is essentially the trope of trauma conga line. There can be no happiness. 

One could say the same of Anders.  I was pretty sure he and my nutty Resolutionist Hawke were headed for disaster, but even I was surprised by how bad I felt for the possessed terrorist mage.  I can't even play DA2 anymore without thinking, "What's the point?  They're both just going to die horribly."

 

See, this is why I want Solas's story to be one of redemption, even if there is tragedy mixed in with it.  I want all his suffering and guilt and sacrifice to mean something in the end.  Flemeth's too, since she gave up her powers willingly so he could achieve whatever he's up to.  Death is easy, vendetta is easy, but IMO forgiveness and redemption are the more worthwhile story.

 

(That said, totally going to let Blackwall swing this second playthrough...)

*shakes fist at banter issues*   FYI for everybody - That trigger banter mod DOES work if you have a PC.  It's a bit of a pain to get working but I ran around Exalted plains for an hour just switching up the party to run through their banters before I finished this last run through.  I don't recommend using it during the beginning of the game. Just try to let them run their normal course, but if you want "completionist" and you're nearing the end...it's worth it.  I'd do it before Blackwall's quest though so you get all the fun Solas banters.

I have to confess, I don't understand anything about music and poetry to pick up the meter. Just that Solas has a sort of lyrical speaking tone. But I love that it is there for people who do.

My cannon has Alistair as King and me as his mistress. Makes it really easy to keep Hawke for Fenris.

I was just disappointed that there wasn't a reference even in the wardens letter to their romance. It makes me want to make a state where Alistair is a warden...but I literally cannot not romance Fenris(especially since Sebastian romances aren't factored in to the keep). And I cannot choose between Alistair and essentially Fenris. CANNOT.

DA:O really blew me away when I first played it. I was sad that DA2 didn't do the same for me. And it looks like we share the same sentiments for DA2. I mean, yeah I did have my fun with that game, but overall I was kind of disappointed with it. I also did not feel attached to my DA2 companions the way I did with the DA:O companions and I kept wishing that I had my old crew back. (It didn't help that I wanted to punch half of my DA2 companions.)

On Solas/Lavellan, honestly, they're almost up there with my Alistair/Mahariel romance. I just need to know how Bioware will handle their romance in future games.
