The interview they posted earlier with Alix Wilton Regan is from last November, actually. I had to double-check myself, and it was Episode 128. The next podcast should be 163. I'm thinking it'll probably be out, oh, Tuesday or Wednesday. And even then, there's no certainty they asked about Solas. BUT HOPING NEVER HURT ANYTHING!

GUYS, I HAD A SOLAS DREAM.

It'll bore you though.

He was the only one in my party and we were walking through some strange desert ruin and he was talking to me, I can't remember what he was saying.

But I know he was occasionally stuttering when he spoke to me.

It got late so we settled down in a preserved part of this ancient ruin and started a fire because it was freezing and I sat against a wall near him and watched him sitting cross legged reading a map he had stored in his backpack.

He started speaking Elvish to himself while putting the map away, then he warmed his hands on the fire for a moment.

Then he came and sat next to me (at this point I was like this O.O it felt like my heart would pop out my mouth) and said "Inquisitor... -ENTERMYREALNAMEHERE-" I said "Hmm, what is it?" then he opened his mouth to say something THEN I WOKE UP!!! So unfair.. *Sigh.* I think this is a sign that I need to spend less time on these forums.

I drove 13 hours to get home yesterday and now I'm eating soup in my pajamas DON'T JUDGE.

Glad to see the lady elfquisitor, though. And getting matchy with Solas, no less! She looks a little like an elven Cass (EDIT: Ooh, I just looked in the Twitter thread and in the close-up shot she doesn't look like Cass at all...but I love her face! And the EYES! *weeps more tears for lack of access to the CC*). Pretty eyes. I usually go with black hair and blue eyes first, but I may start with a blond elf this time just for variety. I hope we can give them violet eyes! And that I find her a long hairstyle more appealing than my usual ponytail/bun. Guess I'll be back to my regularly scheduled routine of joining the daily prayer circle now.  I wasn't really expecting much new stuff this weekend...Gamescom is probably our best bet. I think. I hope.

So, now I"M finally posting my answers to the questionnaire Vim made and I snagged over here...geez. I know I'm beyond late to the party. I'm also going to go back and read other people's now that I've finished mine, this should be fun!!

A ) What's your Inquisitor's name?  I want her name to be elvish for Temperance, but we'll see if I get an answer for that at any point. Lavellan
B ) Gender? F 
C ) Race? Dalish Elf
D ) Class? Rogue - Ranger specced if applicable
E ) Appearance? Buzz cut or the hairstyle on my avatar. But short. She'll look as much like me as I can manage, as first playthrough is always a self insert. So, if possible, she'll have a facial scar grey/blue eyes, and tan skin, dark reddish brown hair.

To Solas! 18 questions total!

1) Who makes the first move and how? It'll depend on how long Solas takes, I'd love it if he does, but Temperance won't have a problem with doing it herself. Likely it would be if he endangered himself or was put in danger somehow. "You need to stay safe, I worry about you, you know. I care too much to lose you."

2) What's the others reactions? I imagine that no one would be surprised, too much. 

3) Solas wants to give your quizzy their favorite meal or a thoughtful gift... What is it and how would he give it to them? Temperance would be practical, but more...shall we say, fashion forward, than Solas himself. A pretty piece of jewelry spelled for protection, gloves, or new blades would be highly appreciated. I don't feel like I know enough about him to say how he'd give it to her. However, I imagine jewelry would be presented to her directly and come either as his way of broaching the subject of feelings or well into the relationship. Gloves or blades might just be found sitting on her table or with her gear one day, but she'd know who it was from. :3

4) Do Solas and your quizzy make their relationship obvious right away or is it hush-hush at first? I could see it either way, depending on the rest of the companions and how...involved they would decide to try and make themselves. IE, if others are self-insertive busy bodies, I could see it being kept on the downlow for a bit. Which could lead to fun times of sneaking out together to meet. Hehe. Cole would probably be the first to find out and not because he was told. It would be adorable if he accidentally spilled the beans. Chi! I don't imagine it being "officially announced" though. Likely just, not hidden, then if folk asked, acknowledged.

5) If it's on the down low; do they end up telling the group or do they find out on their own? Sort of answered above, either Cole being adorable and clueless that he should keep it a secret. "You're looking for Lavellan? Oh, she's off with Solas right now, but I don't think they want to be interrupted." Or just, ceasing to hide it and not denying when asked.

6) If the "first move" didn't involve a kiss; how did their first kiss go? Tentative and sweet, followed by one more confident and emotive.

7) How do they behave together on and off the battlefield? Hopefully like a well oiled machine. (And that wasn't meant as a perverted double entendre, at least not until I read back over it, snorted and shook my head at myself, so, yeah, take it all the ways. ;p)

8) Would your quizzy flirt with someone else? Would Solas? How would they react? Temperance can be fairly arch, but not after she's in a relationship. So, pre-being tied down, sure, after that, only with Dorian, if he's the type to have fun flirting with all and sundry.

9) Who's the first to say "I love you"? When/Where/How do they do it? I can imagine this only getting yanked out of either due to a life or death situation beyond their normal daily routine. Or after much time. And if after much time I can picture either looking at the other very pointedly and just saying it. "You understand that I love you, don't you?"

10) What's the most publicly romantic thing your quizzy initiates? (Whether it's all the time or only once) Minor touching, hand-holding, linked arms, arm around shoulders, etc. If Temperance has been put in a quirky mood or a very joyful one, hugging, a kiss, or an errant hand...>.> Hugs or kisses could be tendered or wanted if comforting comes up as well.

11) What's the most publicly romantic thing Solas initiates? (Whether it's all the time or only once) I imagine him as being even more reserved than Tempy, thus part of her own reserved list above. Most public thing I could see him initiating is handholding without some sort of instigation.

12) If your quizzy and Solas get into an argument who is the first to usually apologize (even if they were in the right)? Now I have this adorable image of them finding each other and jumbling up as they both try to apologize at the same moment.

13) Oh no! Quizzy got injured! Solas is the only one around to take care of them. How does your quizzy react to being a patient? Grumbly, but clear and still. A bit frumpy and put out that she required being fussed over. She'd rather be self-sufficient. Later she would come and give him very warm thanks, however.

14) Oh no! Again! Now Solas is injured and Quizzy has to play doctor; how would they go about it? Heh heh "Solas, shut up and let me take care of you. Ok, this is gonna hurt, but it will keep out infection/whatever/insert thing here." *does thing* "See, not so bad, alright lets wrap this up before anything gets in there. And Creators so help me if you go putting yourself in harms way like that again." And later on she'd regret being clinical about it and wish she had been more tender.

15) Something emotionally scarring happened; how would Quizzy and Solas comfort each other? Presence. Talking and holding if wanted by the hurt party.

16) Is there a proposal in the future? Who pops the question and how? I don't imagine it so much. At least not in a traditional sense, more like, once the Inquisition doesn't need them anymore, I imagine they might just wander off together and have their own adventures.

17) Let's say the world was saved and you are no longer bound to the Inquisition; what's your quizzy and Solas planning to do? XD LOL Answered that above.

 

18) What would be Solas' pet name for your quizzie?If he gives him/her one. I don't imagine Solas being the type to give nicknames so much, but maybe something simple and obvious. Red, for her hair, like my grandfa always called my gramma or something along those lines. Other whise simple standbys like Love, or Beloved. *shrugs*

 

18a) Do they give him one? If so, what is it? Walker short for dreamwalker, possibly in elvahn, or wanderer, for same. (For me nicknames tend to be highly dependent on personality/quirks. So, it's odd to try and think of one yet.) Love, once they reach that stage..

Answering this made me realise how much I imagine Solas' personality might be similar to my own minus the weird quirkiness towards goofy gushiness...

Oh, that was neat, it was interesting to read about everyone's quizzies! All so different from one another, and everyone's idea of Solas was just a little different too. I especially liked some of the specifics, but after reading through everyone's all at once, I can't think of them to call them out.

E ) Appearance? Long hair tied back, horns that round around the ears if possible, if not it rounds around something, tall, strong jaw, pale eyes and a goldish complexion and heavy armor.

1) Who makes the first move and how? She probably would, Shelk is the kind of blunt force trauma type of character, she’d be so honest it hurts.

2) What's the others reactions? Varric would start asking questions and obtain rather sizeable information, Vivienne would weep at her dating someone so poor in fashion taste.  

3) Solas wants to give your quizzy their favorite meal or a thoughtful gift... What is it and how would he give it to them? Tea, good quality strong tea, the inquisitor likes her tea.

4) Do Solas and your quizzy make their relationship obvious right away or is it hush-hush at first? Inquisitor would probably only make it obnoxious to get a rise out of Solas, outside of that, she wouldn’t necessarily keep it hush hush but she’d be more considerate to say the least.

5) If it's on the down low; do they end up telling the group or do they find out on their own? Likewise above, it would be obvious to friends but not obnoxious.

6) If the "first move" didn't involve a kiss; how did their first kiss go? She’d probably be made at him grab him and kiss him like most people punch.

7) How do they behave together on and off the battlefield? She moves in as a tank mage, he protects her six and keeps ranged archers from striking her at a distance.

8) Would your quizzy flirt with someone else? Would Solas? How would they react? Neither really, I don’t see solas as the flirting type, the inquisitor is just to bold and matter of fact to be flirtatious, if she did, it would probably be in the most blunt way possible, like a rock hitting your face.

9) Who's the first to say "I love you"? When/Where/How do they do it? Not sure, probably the inquisitor due to her nature, whether this is serious or not is another matter.

10) What's the most publicly romantic thing your quizzy initiates? (Whether it's all the time or only once) Probably hefting him over her shoulder in case of an escape, that or doing some weird magic thing together.

11) What's the most publicly romantic thing Solas initiates? (Whether it's all the time or only once) Touching her arm, or horn out of research.

12) If your quizzy and Solas get into an argument who is the first to usually apologize (even if they were in the right)? Not sure… depends on the argument.

13) Oh no! Quizzy got injured! Solas is the only one around to take care of them. How does your quizzy react to being a patient? She’d probably be healing herself as a mage, but if she were loopy from blood loss, probably going on and on about the multiple battles that were so much worse than this one.

14) Oh no! Again! Now Solas is injured and Quizzy has to play doctor; how would they go about it? Heal him, force him to either sit or lie down, proceed to read a spell tome, or one of varrics books while he sleeps.

15) Something emotionally scarring happened; how would Quizzy and Solas comfort each other? The inquisitor would take a nap, she overcomes stress and scarring with sleep, solas would probably join her in sleep and they’d go and frolic in dream filled flowers, then proceed to beat the living stuffing out of enemies in dream (poor demons)

16) Is there a proposal in the future? Who pops the question and how? Not sure if vashoth or elves believe in marriage like humans… either way, probably in the most anticlimactic way possible, or blunt either one works.

17) Let's say the world was saved and you are no longer bound to the Inquisition; what's your quizzy and Solas planning to do? Take a three week nap, leading a world from destruction is hard work, that or watch the world burn in the process.

I just stumbled across an intriguing bit of info on Tumblr, a tumblrite was at SDCC and talking to the devs was told that Marketing was directly responsible for the last two LI not being revealed. Apparently they feel that "mystery" is needed.

Because it isn't Mystery, everyone gets all settled on who they want, some people know they have them or that they don't and then there are the Viv, Varric, Blackwall, and Solas fans who have no idea. It isn't mystery, it's frustrating. Though the idea of it being in order to create a sense of mystery makes it that much more frustratingly stupid. Jeebus.

Mystery? There's already a lot about them that's mysterious. A lot of their background detail, what they'll want the Inquisitor to help them with and their real plans for the future can be saved for reveal during the game. Romance is such a small part that it seems silly to hold back on it, plus saying who is available isn't going to reveal any important details about their romance arcs. It's not like anyone but die-hard fans would care about such an announcement anyways, and those same die-hard fans will get more irritated the longer this is dragged out. 

 

Uuuuugh this makes me think that they might be forcing the mystery to remain until we have our hands on the game. That would be painful

This has probably been said but his name in latin "Solus" means "alone, only" as in the word "solipsism" which means:

This is very relevant to his character's theme when it comes to dreaming and pondering over existence.
