Well, I'm afraid the French and their Orlesian cousins are infamous for their posting approving GIF's of people doing something like what I'm assuming is a sex simulation for a bald elf? :P

  I go for the low-hanging fruit of racial and national humor, I'll admit.

If you mean that the Orlesians are kinky and not shy about it, then I guess I'd make no exception to that rule, indeed ;D

Mine would be one of these things:

Spoiler

Ggghhh. I've always known them as leatherjackets, but I've also heard them called crane flies, mosquito hawks, and in the UK, daddy-long-legs. **** them and their erratic, spindly-ness. I love rats, like snakes, can handle spiders (happen to think tarantulas are fascinating), and am generally okay with other bugs, but these guys can plz leave me alone forever.

My Lavellan's would probably be something somewhat intangible, like a plague or disease.

YES! THIS! Friggin daddy-long legs. Ugh. I can handle anything but one of those feckers flying into my face sends me squealing like a little girl. The worst of it is, they're completely harmless. I love lizards and snakes, I'm alright around spiders or other insects. I don't bat an eye at enclosed spaces, heights, being underwater, flying...any of that. But these...ugh *shivers*. They're my kryptonite. Yuck. You can even hear them on summer nights, their legs and wings scraping against the windows.

*freaks out and runs away*

My fear demon... I guess if we're sticking with creepy crawlies & not abstract concepts... giant earwigs.

That'd stop more than a ball

that's like the only bug I have a problem with. I like spiders & will pick up anything else & throw outside (including centipedes, which look a lot like earwigs, so idk) but those just creep me out.

so of course they're the ones I find in my shower D:

Hullo, if you want, there's a Beginner drawing group in BSN (link in my signature). We're mostly Cullenites but there are also non-Cullenites & it's really an open group. Please don't hesitate to join if ever you want, the goal's to make everyone progress & share tips etc. There are several intermediate level people that help around, or we mostly comment on each other's drawings  :)

Oh that sounds nice! I just now am trying to get into the digital drawing thing, I might drop in on this beginner's group too. A lot of others are just too intimidating for me yet >.>

See, among my friends, all of their families actively live up to their ethnic stereotypes. The Irish are fiery and snarl at each other, but you can tell they love each other because they pass the wine bottle, (Oh, Christmas joy.) the Canadians are eerily polite, the Gallic family are enthusiasts of love and war, (Gaul is a more evocative name than France for me, I'm sorry. :P ) etcetera.

But my family defies classification. They're so weird:lol: It's like they took all of the nationalities, put it in a blender, and the resulting mutant declared a revolution.  Most people think from our accents that we're English or Scottish or something, except for the English and Scots, who think we're Canadian, who think we're Swedish.

Good morning, what'd I miss?

I might or might not be attending a talk by someone applying for a job here. And he might or might not be dressed in exactly the same colors as the bar charts on his slides. And I might or might not have mentioned that to the people around me. There might or might not have been laughter. I might or might not be forced to run off and become a drug lord in Mexico, I am not sure yet.

Solas, as always.

Giant grasshoppers.

Bears.

*shudders*

I find most of the little creepy crawlies you guys find terrifying cute, or at least interesting.

Unless they're in my room.

That is unacceptable behavior.

Not everyone does though. My mom is one of the most prude person I know, to the point I wonder how she managed to ever have three children. Every time we talk about sex, or make sex jokes with my brothers and father, she blushes so much and asks us how we can even dare to talk like that. We laugh it off, but it makes her so uncomfortable, it's cute. I've had many friends like that as well, and I'm always a bit sad when people are SO shy about sex. I wished it wasn't SUCH a taboo subject, it should never be, I think it's unhealthy as hell when it is.

This is pretty much me with my morning coffee today.

While I heartily approve of the devotion to peen, the thread needs a bit of romance after all that. Here we go.

Fine, hold onto your cultural anomalies. :P

My family is mostly hardcore Lutheran. I am a debauched heathen.

They vary between making agonized faces at an actually rather subtle sex joke by my cousin's girlfriend at a gathering, or making the younglings eyes bug out.

I maintain this proud tradition of flip-flopping from sentence to sentence how comfortable I am with it.

I could bring up the political and artistic implications of pornography from Pompeii in a class and discuss it avidly without being phased, but my mother asking if I had had my first kiss yet with my SO was an act of war.  ^_^

OT Trivia of the day: There are tribes in Polynesia, I believe it was, were the men wear heavy make-up and will run from a battle if it starts to rain, and the ideal women is considered to physically resemble a pig as much as possible.

I know not everyone's family is the same, nor was everyone's childhood. But when I wish my mom was more...whatever, I think about what made her the way she is.

When my mom was growing up- her childhood was very different than mine. Sex wasn't talked about. Girls who got pregnant were sent away. Parents certainly didn't discuss sex with their children. This was a world of church every Sunday and you'd never wear slacks. (To school or church, unless it was snowing.) This was a world of doing your hair to go and get milk. It was a different time, and that's how my mom was raised.  Women raised the children and worked if they had to. Men were the head of household.  Children were taught to be seen and not heard. Respect was the main focus of her upbringing.

I can't blame my mother for the way she was brought up. That's a long time of being taught one thing. She tries, but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks, as they say.

I'm feeling protective over my mother because today is my Adoption Day.

I was born Oct. 11, but it wasn't until Feb. 24 that my adoption was finalized and I was officially hers. It's a special day with mom and I.

I can do both with ease, I really don't mind. I remember asking my mum about anal sex when I was 13/14 years old. I think that it made her VERY uncomfortable, because she didn't know how to react to me being at ease talking about it, but she also wanted to act like I could rely on her and talk to her about anything. It was very awkward. I'm very good at creating awkward situations like that, I like it.

Must have been fun raising me, now that I think about it.

And yeah, that trivia is further proof, if it was needed, that beauty is a social construct, I suppose. I love learning about different cultures' standards of beauty. It always put things in perspective, in terms of what beauty is/should be/can be.

What blew my mind was how my parents (born in the late fifties) got their sexual education.

My paternal grandfather discreetly left an issue of Playboy where my rebellious Uncle could find it. He couldn't abide the idea of talking about it with his children.

And when my dad was getting to that age, they left extras for my Uncle to find, knowing he'd be generous.

I'm still not sure whether I find that hilarious or not.

But yeah, I don't really judge them for it. Mostly, because, um, at times I'm more similar to them than I care to admit.  <_<

Also, D'aww. :)

Those slippers are particularly brilliant. (I want them!) And is that a nod to the wolf in sheep's clothing saying? ;3

Haha thank you! I now really want a pair of dread wolf slippers.. Also you and Liz are the only people who got my sheep clothing joke. XD

Is that with the fly camera thingy? I thought he hesitated! He doesn't hesitate. That's too sexy.

I have to say after seeing some video people posted using the camera at different angles that some of the scenes could have done with being shot differently with Solas. His romance scenes are the most beautiful in the game, but until I saw his scenes from different angles, I never knew he was holding her hands the whole time he was trying to explain why he couldn't be with her or this one up there. When I saw this scene in game it looked like he might suffer from whiplash after she pulled his face back. But at this angle it's soooooooooooooooooo sexy and actually doesn't make me as mad at him. Still angry with you Solas. Heartbreaker!

This is sexy!? Somebody cue up the gif where she's riding his thigh! (which occurs later in this scene)

The flycams on the final scene are nice since he's actually kissing her in those scenes instead of like hovering over her face.  Though I do like the original cinematics better since there's a lot of weird clipping with the hands.  Also, it's a lot of profile shots of him, which is his best "side".  He's got a killer profile.

EDIT: I guess I'll post it for Top
