Ahaha, this made me giggle.
There there buddy. I've got booze. Come drink your feels away. It's Honing-brew Mead. Sweeter than a fair maiden's teets in a spring breeze.
Blackbriar Reserve or GTFO!
And how about dem ravens, or dat owl that are servants of these gods? The other gods don't seem to have special animal servants, despite each of them having a favored animal. The ones Dirthamen and Falon'Din have the loyalty of seem to be powerful or unique enough to be specially mentioned. Are they merely part of their "story," or do they have actual significance when it comes to their relationship with their masters?
Mythal may have a wolf...
You know, I just thought of something.
The elven gods are trapped somewhere, right? We don't know if they are conscious or not, but they're probably still located in an area where they can access the Fade. There is one in particular who is the most adept at navigating the Fade, probably does creepy things to dead bodies, AND has a "twin soul" who is the master of secrets.
Falon'Din and Dirthamen would be the elven gods most likely to find a way to escape, or at least bend the rules, their entrapment. As Dreamers, they could go into people's minds while they were dreaming and influence their actions. If powerful enough, he could possibly mind control a person via their connection to the Fade. Dirthamen, if he was a secret keeper worth his salt, would surely know of secret paths or have passing knowledge that would be of use to his twin.

Ehehe, that's my thought exactly.
I'm willing to bet The Twins have a deeper connection to the fade than any other god of the pantheon, based on the descriptions we have.
Don't worry, she just had a bad day.
Walls of text are cool. Books are cool. We cool. Everything's cool.
Here, have some kittens, the both of you.
You know, I just thought of something.

Dirthamen actually favored the bear, which makes it even more suspect. Think about it. Your campsite in Hinterlands can be surrounded by bears. Campsites have tents. Tents are where you go to sleep.

Mythal may have a wolf...
Do you... do you think that Fen'Harel might have been part of a lesser pantheon? An animal servant one where they took the shape of either elf or animal and were servants of their patron diety, but still had lots of power of their own?
At some point, Fen'Harel could have been "uplifted" to the status of the primary pantheon, like Ghilan'nain.
Blackbriar Reserve or GTFO!
That stuff tastes like elf sweat and Maven's farts.
Juniper Berry mead or GTFO TBH! Ralof's favorite!

Yeah, that's my theory based on that last scene between Mythal and Solas. I don't think they're enemies and I don't think they're lovers, I think they were initially creature and master and then he became something more, her servant, her guardian, her co-conspirator, possibly her avenger...
And of course, I could be wrong.

I forgot about my boy Ralof and the juniper mead. But then, I'm just a milk-drinking magic-casting snowback old lady Khajit. (I named her Kitty Purry. Srsly.)

Spoiler
Hmm..How did my fanart get in here? Oh well...
Woops! Don't you just hate that?
Also, if that's not the face of someone who knows things you absolutely do not want him to know, I've no idea what is
And the fact that they're all sickly pale fits perfectly. Creepy Dirthamen, knowing all my creepy secrets, and being all creepy about it.

I like that theory a lot. And I've thought about it as well.
Fen'Harel seems so not like the other gods, there must be something unique about him, that way.
That been said, it's 1 AM in Orlais, time for me to crawl into bed and keep reading The Masked Empire until I fall into the Fade.
Try not to talk too much about genitalias without me. Or do, that makes for great morning reads as well.

Yes, he's an inside outsider, like Jon Snow or Alistair...

Well at least if he's like Jon Snow, then he knows about one particular thing ![]()
Mind firmly out of the gutter: I'm not sure if I believe he truly IS an outsider. We don't have enough information (EGG! TELL ME ALL OF YOUR SECRETS!!!!).
You know, I just thought of something.

There's also the fact that if there's a connection between the old gods and the elven gods, Dirthamen and Falon'din would be next on the list to awaken...
I bet they're all in the Void clucking their tongues at the dreadful modern fashions.
"And her hair, Sylaise!"
"Her petticoat!"
Five inches deep in mud, I'm absolutely certain! (Please tell me that's the reference you were going for?
)

It is my dearest wish that the next blight is a Twin-Souls-Double-Dragon blight.
How do you post gifs? I need a "my body is ready" gif here.

There's that little discourse at the beginning of Wicked Eyes, where he is dressed as a servant, hid behind a pillar and says the intrigue, the betrayal and the sex are all very familiar... Exactly as if he's done the same thing before.
And advises Lavellan to get information from the servants.

Hm...I'm not sure if you're trying to convince me that he IS an outsider (playing servant or spy) or if you're trying to convince me he ISN'T an outsider (familiar with intrigue and the use of spies.) *confused head tilt*
Uhg! Not old enough to view it...
