When I asked people to talk a little less about other characters, I was mocked. Whether Uire's comments were in jest last night or not, she was trolled and mocked - I sincerely doubt those were the only two instances of it happening. It honestly looks like there are some subjects that you can't have a dissenting opinion about in this thread without being crucified for it. It wouldn't surprise me if someone felt that their concerns actually couldn't be addressed here.

 

Maybe you were mocked because your opinion came out of complete left field, was stated in such a way that your tone came a cross as rude and was frankly just ridiculous to some. You are not the be all end all of what can be discussed in this thread, and yet you seem to want to be able to dictate what can be posted here. I think Cecilia said it best, "there's a huge difference between disagreeing insofar as "I disagree with you on topic A" and what I've seen people being called out on which is more along the lines of "You shouldn't be talking about topic A/talking about topic A like this,". You are doing the later, and it is not nice. Also we're never going to get past any of this disagreement if people don't stop taking silly art and gifs as some sort of personal attack. Lighten up.

I think my Lavellan's initial reaction is going to surprise them both; calm, composed, focused on getting answers out of him.  I have a feeling that however we confront Solas, it's probably going to be in the middle of something horribly dangerous, and she can't afford to go to pieces under those circumstances.  The super-sad puppy eyes and tears come later.

 

As for getting back together, it would really depend on his actions.  My Lavellan is a loving, sweet, forgiving person, but she's already been burned once with Solas. IMO the DA:I relationship with him is fundamentally flawed with how much information he hides and withholds.  It'd have to be very, very clear that they weren't so much rekindling the prior romance as starting with a clean slate and an even playing field.  She's not going to stand for the "I know better than you" bull**** a second time.

I'm planning on writing a fanfic on this very topic. But to summarize, she will probably be pretty cold toward him, not wanting to let him know that she may or may not be harboring some residual feelings. She will need to be coaxed, nay, tricked by her besties (mainly Dorian and Varric, but to a lesser extent Cole and Cassandra) into discussing his bailing on her, and there will possibly be eventual smut.

Assuming that my Lavellan knows that he's Fen'Harel at the time:

 

Her first reaction would be to evaluate whether or not he is an enemy. Puff herself up, and see what she can get away with. She is not really the sort of person to immediately go for diplomacy. She would basically gear for a fight, and wait and see if there was any aggressive response back to her.

So long as Solas didn't act aggressive in return, she'd chill out. All she needs to know is that he's still the same person she fell in love with. After that, she's got no problem with rekindling the romance so long as she gets a full disclosure. If there's no attempt at disclosing information [or not telling her why he left if she doesn't know he's Fen'Harel], then it is unlikely she could trust him.

 

Less because they broke up, and more because he vanished at the end of the battle and acted shady as hell.

I'm out of likes but SO MUCH THIS.  I know Solas can tell Lavellan that she saw more of him than most, but IMO she has every reason to doubt him.  Both for being shady as hell in the endgame, and especially after she finds out exactly how much he hid from her.

How she'll react.  Confused I guess.  She's kind of at peace with the breakup - depending on timeline.  Like I've said before, my Lavellan is pretty centered.  I think she would want to make sure he's ok and she would definitely want to help him.  He's still really important to her. 

 

If they could get back togther - if Abelas is a LI in the DLC. Nope.  (i know that is sooo very very very very unlikely).  Without my Abelas fantasy - umm...I would need the DLC to show SOME sort of healing.  I'm really not a fan of them getting back together without them having an actual discussion.   It'd be so unhealthy to me and I can't abide by that...at least for my Lavellan.  There was so much **** unsaid and depending if he's fucked up again and then nothing is said and you just press...get back together button...yikes.  I think both parties need to talk a lot out, not screaming or anything.  Just talking and laying everything out on the table.  And you can actually forgive him and move forward.  And he can find relief in that you know everything and that you understand what he truly is.  You can decided to rekindle the relationship or say, "I'm sorry, this just isn't going to work".
